it's always so reassuring to hear that someone likes what i photograph. someone suggested cropping out the lower right so that some of the flowers are gone. it actually might look better because you'd get a better view of the hogan. thanks so much, jen
Thanks for your good comment on my "Morning Fog" shot. The only thing I am missing is a dedicated slide scanner, rather than the flat bed that I am using.
Hi Jeff thank you for your kind comments on 'All is Calm' and your observations about the composition but up till now all I do if I see something I like I just point and shoot and as my camera does not have all the bells and whistles on it then its not too complicated for a simple soul like me,thanks again.
Thank you Jeff for your comments about Tractor, I take on board your suggestions for improving my work but I'm still a beginner at this hobby and realise that there's more to it ,than meets the eye. Thanks again.

Thanks for you comments on "Mountain Pond," I know what you mean about focal point. I kept searching for one and just opted for a kind of center shot. There wasn't much of a focal point other than the pond itself and I couldn't back up enough to make it a good focal point.
Thanks for the comments on still- I'm not very good at thinking of names for pictures but the thing that really stood out for me was how still everything was that morning and how well is was captured by the clear reflection of the log, and the sky.
hi jeff, i hadn't thought about the contrast you mentioned but there surely is one. i thought that the fact that when they built the new bridge they didn't tear down the old one was most interesting. thanks for letting me know you liked the photo.

Thanks for the comment on Test Ground - Failure. The structure to the right has been strengthened, such that the explosion would not affect it immediately. The initial wave of energy is not as powerful as the following ones. There are 3 waves of energy, all going outwards. The broken pieces are too geometrical as I was trying to keep the overall render as simple as possible. The breakage took about 2 hours to set up.
I appreciate the hints...I'll try better next time. :D
thanks for writing, jeff. i can see what you are saying but at the time it just happened. i'll have to work harder on focus. i guess if i just forgot the closeup things i'd be better off. i do appreciate your comments. jen
I love the outer banks of north carolina and this is just one of the reasons why. i got lucky that day with just the right light, etc. i'm so glad you liked it. thanks for letting me know. jen
regarding "torch ginger flower"....f you ordered a boquet of "hawaiian tropicals" this flower would be included. they really are beautiful. thanks for the kind words. jen
hi jeff, i didn't notice the lighter side till you mentioned it. i did notice the light up the middle. i liked the softness of the whole thing. thanks for liking it. jen
well supposedly, if you stand at a certain place, and use a lot of imagination you really can see the dragon. i'm glad you like the bali hai and enjoyed the music thing. thanks so much for writing. jen
Howdy from Arizona! Thanks for commenting at "Family Man". They're very smart, wary - and don't stay still for long! It was tough waiting for him to stay in one place and get the sun on him at the same time he was doing something interesting. Meanwhile, you know who was in full sun the whole time! Thanks again ......
i'm mad at the fact that i didn't handle it well. thanks for telling me. it was good enough....i don't know why i ever touched it. this is by far my LOWEST score. ugh! jen
greetings from folly beach, chances are that i won't be able to comment on your new uploads, i will as soon as i can, thanks

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Howdy from Arizona! Thank you for taking time to visit and leave a comment at '11-11'. I too wish I could have included more of the flag at the top but that was as captured in order to have both the flag and the Memorial in the shot; not enough room mostly because of the roof on the shuttle launch. Glad to know you enjoyed it Jeff, thanks!
Hey Jeff, thanks for the comments on 'Poinsettia'. Yeah, I couldn't get the spiral to get enough gamma, that's why it fades out so quick like that. I supposed I could have cheated with Gimp and edited it to make a complete spiral, but then I'd lose the depth. Anyway, thanks again!
Hello, Thanks for leaving comments on "Ready For Launch ". You suggested leaving the daisy out of the picture and I did think about doing that. The more and more I looked at it though, the more and more I liked the daisy in the pic. I think it adds more to the pic, but that is what is great about all of us having a different pair of eyes.
Smile, without a reason why. Love, as if you were a child, Smile, no matter what they tell you Don't listen to a word they say Cause life is beautiful that way. (From the film "Life Is Beautiful")
