Hey there Raph, welcome to the party! Thanks for the comment on 'Flower power'. Unfortunately I don't have a macro lens for my camera yet. The one I've been drooling over is just under $1100 (770 euros). This shot was taken with a 70-300 zoom lens.

Yes, I do rework the colors in my photos. I also work with the lighting and contrast. to me, the photograph is the first stage of the piece of art, a starting point. I hope you like the effect and thanks for commenting on "View from the Primeval Path." ~ John

Hi Raphael! Thanks, I'm glad you liked my creek shots so much :) and as to your question on "Grow with the Flow" No- the composition is exactly the way I shot it. The only thing I did in photoshop was add a bit of a gradient to make the background water look misty and of course added the frame. I don't think I even enhanced the color or contrast or anything on that one either (which is rare for me, ha ha!)

Hi Raphael, I am glad that you liked "Per Chance A Bouquet" and left me a comment of it. It is an outdoor pot I found in my garage which had collected leaves from last fall. I took the shot directly from looking down at it. I think it came out pretty good! ~ John

Thanks for the comment on my bridge shot. Yeah, I almost didn't post it because of the fuzziness. I did use a tripod but all I had with me was the little short one. I think what happened was that it focused on the foreground. Ha ha, I didn't take my time with the camera settings because when I kneeled down to take the shot I discovered I was in a patch of prickly pear cactus! They were stuck all over my butt and pant legs! OUCH! lol! It took a while to get them all off of me! It was so dark I couldn't see them! :D
