Hello Jesse';
Let me welcome you to Caedes: I hope you enjoy your stay here and all of the many fine artists.
Thanks for your comments on "Rushing On". I'm really pleased you liked it.
The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it will always move. This is the artist’s way of scribbling “Kilroy was here” on the wall of the final and irrevocable oblivion through which he must someday pass.

Sunset over Venice - You're quite right, you do tend to take things in life for granted. It's nice to stop sometimes and capture it on film (all be it digital!)
Hi Jesse, thanks for your wonderful revue on Discover, glad you liked it so much, and welcome aboard Caedes has helped us all become a little better. Good luck. Dwight.
