Hi Kevin, thanks as always for your comments. Believe it or not I had gone to this chalk downland reserve looking for orchids and nearly tripped over the moth while setting up an orchid shot! Luck plays a large part but I did know that there was a large population there as I'd done some moth trapping there in the past.

Hi Kevin, many thanks again. This time for viewing 'Marsh Among the Milkwort'. A lot of luck went into this one, I disturbed the frit from beside the sheep trail on the reserve and when it relanded it was perfectly positioned amongst those Chalk Milkworts. Of course I always have the camera ready for just such occasions and so...

Regarding it being a 'magic mushroom' - put it this way; the Laplanders need some entertainment to while away those permanently dark winter days :-/ and I believe the reindeer get quite high on them too - which may have started the Santa's flying reindeers story.....!

Hi Kevin, thanks for your appreciative comments about 'A Sea of Blue'. This has to be one of the best Bluebell Woods in Southern Britain - and is only 10 miles from my house! It's frightening to think we may lose a lot of these if 'Global Warming' goes the way of the predictions. Although you may get more developing in your neck of the woods.

I do spend rather a long time studying behaviour, not just for the photography, but also for it's own interest. I'm also making a note of numbers of species and individuals in my county recorder's capacity. Killing 3 birds with one stone;o)
