Hi there Trevor, many thanks for yur coments on Swanage Bay, much appreciated. This is quite an old picture taken on our first family holiday there but I have been visiting since the early 1980's. I regularly charter a fishing boat called the San Gina, nearly always good fishing. Paul

Thanks for the comment on "Venom", I really appreciate it. I'm not sure about this about having to know how a piece is done in order to comment on it. It was done in a program that is easy to play around with (without really knowing what one does). Sure there was some effort in trying out different combinations of "factors" of the input to the program but no rocket science so to speak. I'm glad you liked it anyway and that you took the time to comment. :)

Thanks for looking at "Thunderhead with halo". I have seen this halo effect before, but never captured it. It is rare, but in this part of Florida, we have thunderstorms nearly every day from June through September. These storms are pushed around by the Gulf sea breeze, so that might contribute to it.

Thanks Trevor for your comment at "David & Goliath". Sometimes you have to have Lady Luck in your corner when snapping away. I had her by my side when I took that shot. Nevertheless you make a good point ... and I will most certainly have my Kodak tested for steroids as soon as I figure out how to get it to fill a cup with specimen. LOL Thanks again.

This is a site that tells a whole lot about the cypress trees Trevor. Even tho they mostly talk about them being in Florida, we here in Texas have a fair share. They are stunning. Thanks so for coming by and enjoying the view of this beauty. I appreciate your input and constant support.

Hi Trevor, thanks for visiting 'Marsh among the Milkworts' and glad you enjoyed it. I am also pleased you like the rest of my [fledgling] gallery. We are lucky in Wiltshire in having one of the largest populations of the Marsh Fritillary in Britain [if not in Europe!]
Cheers,
Steve.

Once again my friend I Thank You for the visit and the comment at "Surprise ... Surprise". Also appreciated the chuckle you gave me re the "Brownie" camera. I really do have one by the way (Circa 1916) ... it belonged to my Grandparents. I found it in their attic after they passed on ... hardly used and with it's original box and the price tag ... $4.95 I believe. It's quite precious to me for obvious reasons. Take care my friend.
