But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
Your comments about "Palouse Farmland" are very much appreciated.
The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it will always move. This is the artist’s way of scribbling “Kilroy was here” on the wall of the final and irrevocable oblivion through which he must someday pass.

Thank you so very much for your nice comments about my Aspens Above the Conejos River. You are very kind. When fotobob, my husband, found this lost image we were both so happy that we hugged each other with joy. Sometimes a computer crash can be a good thing.

Hello, hope you will forgive me, but this message will be pretty well canned and much the same for everyone who responded to my image “At The Giants Feet". I’m stuck in a very tight schedule at work and have been putting in as many as 35 hrs overtime each week for going on a month now. Even though this is a generic thank you, it doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate each comment, it’s just that I have very limited time and not enough of it to respond individually. For all that asked particular questions, I will try to leave an answer at the end of this post. For those who left comments some time ago, please accept my apology for being so late in responding.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUING SUPPORT OF MY IMAGES .IT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME.
I just looked up and saw my remarks about "Palouse Farmland". Wonder how it got in there twice?
Thank you so much for your comment on my mossy waterfall....it was truly lovely out there...and yes the scent was fantastic...there are SO many varieties of fern in the Oregon Forests....you would love it!
Going barefoot is the gentlest way of walking, and can symbolize a way of living. It's the feeling of enjoyment beneath our toes...it removes the barrier between us and nature...(AdeleCoombs,Barefoot

Hi there...thank you for dropping by to view and comment on Water Colors # 1....I am glad you enjoyed it and appreciate your generous remarks...hope you will also like the others in the series that will follow.:Pat.
Look out over the minereats

Thanks for the comments.
This was the first trip I have taken up here with my 11 year old daughter to the sierras, I taught her about hiking camping and safety. I also showed her and talked to her about the stars and what they are. I think she had a great time.
They are located toward the mid to upper northern section of the Sierras in California. As you are looking at them you would be facing the Mohave desert of the state above the devils post pile area about 9 miles above mammoth lakes area at about 8200 hundred feet. The minarets clime any ware from 9000 t0 1200 feet above the Pacific Ocean. They are above the timber line and very close to Mt. Whitney which exceeds the 1400 foot level which is the tallest mountain in the continental United States. This whole area is part of the pacific crest trail and the John Muyr Trails. This whole area is excellent for climbing and mountaineering or the general hike. It can get very secluded and remote.
Through the ages from about 15 through 28 this whole area was my old stomping, climbing and hiking area from the Kern River area all the way through Yosemite and through Lake Tahoe.
If you contact the US California forestry service they would be glade to send you a map of the whole area.
I will be posting more images of the area in the next few days and will hopefully be going back up there for a few winter shots in early October.
Hi...a great big thank you for you gracious comments on "Centered!" Given that I really can't tell where my images stand anymore as it relates to the new rating system, I really value comments like yours!

I'm glad that you took the time to view and comment on my Mountain Stream Beauty image. Thank you for the nice comments. I appreciate your support. I would have gone farther up stream but the large rock out cropping on the left stopped me.

I want to thank you for your lovely comment on my photo called Autumns Fires...I appreciate it so very much when someone enjoys my photo and also is kind enough to leave a comment..thanx again!!
Thank you for your comments about my "Mt. Yale" image. It is amazing how a few minutes can change the whole mood of a scene.Although the cottonwood trees in this image are a softer color I think that it fits the mood for this image. I hope that you were pleased with this image.

Thanks for your comment on Road Of Purple.. i'm glad you liked it... it really is a sight to see... and yes they are orchids in the tree they have been there for years... =)
Thank you, I truly appreciate your comment.. I am of the belief, that unless you view an image full sized you can't have any idea of what the artist was trying to do.. You did just that and it means a lot to me..
Hi! Thank you for the comment on the Bridge pic. A BridgeWalk (that is what I and the people I was with called it) is when you get to go up on the structure where people normally aren't permitted. I knew someone who worked for CalTrans and offered to take a group of us up and it was something I had always wanted to do. I was surprised how calm I was with the height - it helps we were clipped on like mountain climbers. :-)
Hey Aaron...much obliged for your kind comments to 'Ethereal'....This original image and another image of mine ie: 'Rays' were taken only yards apart, same place...please view! ..Best Regards......Bob
Thank you for your positive feedback on murky place. So glad you dropped by to look at the winter scenery and to leave me a couple of supportive words. Thank you very much. I would strongly encourage you to visit my gallery, provided you are not afraid of low temperatures, deep snow and icy wind...
