The Canyons in the Southwest are very impressive... to me anyway. Every rock formation has a name such as Balanced Rock, Flagpole Rock etc: etc: As the day goes by the rocks change to different shades of red, gold, pink. and the shadows are always changing the scene.

Yes, the setting of that wee castle does make it look smaller than it actually is, it was about three or four stories high from memory. Good call. :)

The Columbia Gorge is an absolutely beautiful area and well worth the trip. Hope you can see it in person sometime.
