Thank you for your insightful thoughts on Colorado Nat Park.
The Canyons in the Southwest are very impressive... to me anyway. Every rock formation has a name such as Balanced Rock, Flagpole Rock etc: etc: As the day goes by the rocks change to different shades of red, gold, pink. and the shadows are always changing the scene.
God's magnificent creation is full of beauty waiting to be captured - when you think you've seen it all, something you've never seen comes up and amazes you.

Allison, can I deduct from your comment that you once lived in an area simular to "Descent?" You mentioned homesickness. I have always enjoyed that particular emotion for it provides space for the wishful dreams your mind and heart want to debate. ~~ John
P.S. Welcome to Caedes, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I look forward to seeing your works as time goes on.
Hi Allison, thanks so much for commenting on 'Poor Thing'. Yes, I tend to make the area of the nose between the eyes a bit too wide :(. Thank you again! It's appreciated. -rachel
Hello again Allison, I'm glad you had the chance to visit a couple of photo's and give them your critique. I always love the comments and opinions of others as it helps me get to be a little bit better each time.

Okay. So you're in the Heart of a Storm. Everything is perfectly calm, right? But you know that at any minute that calm is going to go away, and everything is going to be in chaos, and the world around you will literally blow you away. I want to be there.
G'day Allison,
Yes, the setting of that wee castle does make it look smaller than it actually is, it was about three or four stories high from memory. Good call. :)

Thanks for your kind comments on "Boat By Moonlight". As you know a great deal of photography is being lucky. I was at the right place at the right time.

If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.

Thank you so very much Allison for visiting Through the Eyes of a Child. It was one of the better moments I have had with my daughter. As a footnote....she did have to have help taking the photo and this was one out of about 20 out of focus and finger shots that we had to sort through.
