You wrote: "A sky watchers paradise! I dunno, for me, there is mucho interest in this foreground.... It is very flat, (as it is where I am) but it has diverse colorful contrasts and lighting. I like how both the clouds in the distance and closer ones are rolling in. Wonderful details and colors. Saved to stare at."
Now, that's how to write a critique. I wanted you to know I really enjoyed reading this. Thks for stopping by.

Thank you so much Elizabeth for your kind comment on "Mountain Meadow" The weather was perfect that day with deep blue skies and the sun just sparkled on the rushing stream in the middle of the pretty yellow and long green grass meadow.

Hi Elizabeth and I hope you do re-read Alice. As we age, the poetry of our youth becomes more clear. Thanks for commenting on "Dreamworld." Your friend in Columbus ~~ John
Thanks for stopping by and seeing "Frozen In Time". That day, everything was grey from the ice. lol I had my three kids out for a walk because we'd been cooped up in the house huddled around our oven which ran off of propane for days. We had to get out but the trees breaking constantly meant I was going with the kids. That was a wild winter. :-)

Golden Pool is one of the many hot spring in Yellowstone National Park Wyoming. The golden algae grows in the hottest water in the hot spring followed by orange, brown colors, thanks for liking the golden color and textures.

Hi Elizabeth, sending you a belated but very sincere thanks for visiting my gallery recently, not only to give feedback but to leave such a thoughtful get well message for my mum. I have showed her the comments from all you lovely people and she was overwhelmed by your kindness. Mum is recovering well and we both really appreciate that you took the time to think of us. Love and blessings, Kelcey.

There is even a curse to keep tourists from taking the wood,
Petrified Forest Curse Still Going Strong
Rangers at Arizona's Petrified Forest report that they continue to receive letters and packages returning bits of petrified wood stolen from the site, apologizing and offering a litany of bad luck they've had since stealing it. Recent curse manifestations include "I lost my job..." and "Our house burned down..."
``My wife left me ... ''

Glad you liked my photo Elizabeth
Hi Elizabeth thanks for visiting the moon "Marooned On The Moon" I realy like my rock but how can a boring rock compete with pretty flowers, birds, butterflies and green fields, I better go and work on some new photo's... thanks again Diane
I got 403 photos on vacation at the Petrified Forest National Park so if one is a dud I just try another.., don't worry I won't bore people to death with all of them. I am glad you enjoyed it Elizabeth
Don't get lost in the Maze, few ever return
Hi Elizabeth thanks for your kind comment about "Barren Badlands" it's a pretty desolate place isn't it. no water for a hundred miles...except at the Ranger Station water fountain
I loved getting this shot..and hope to try to get many more, cross your fingers I don't become a lighting rod..lol Thanks so much for your comment on "Light the Night".

Thank you Elizabeth for the comment on "Pink Chrysanthemums",it is very nice of you.Thank you for the save too,it is really nice of you.Have a good weekend.
Thanks for your comments regarding Mountain Relief. I am always striving to get the images as 'realistic' as possible. It's all about composition, balance, perspective. With a blank canvus to start with, it is both tricky and fun to be in total control of the physics of the world. It's never perfect, which makes me keep going back for more. Thanks for stopping by.
Hard work never killed anybody, but why take a chance?

Hi Liz ,Thank You for your very nice comments on Blue Darner and Fall Color. There is a river around that bend and a small waterfall where I was standing. The Blue Darner was cruising around in the yard and landed next to me as if he(she)wanted the photo taken..Tom
Thank you Elizabeth, glad you enjoyed "Oscar" who entertained us the whole week we were in Port A. I also appreciated you comments on "Oscar 2" and you were right about the cloning as well, however he and I got to be buds and I just didn't want to mess with his photo, selfish huh?? :)Steve
Thank you so much for your kind words on Portrait of Fall #1 and #2. I have more to come in this series so if you would be so kind as to comment I would appreciate it.

Thanks again for your support on this series, your kind words are enough to make me want to keep going with this series, but it will have to end soon. Running out of shots for this year.

Thanks for sharing the sunrise with me from my 9th floor balcony Elizabeth. I'll make some coffee and KK donuts and we can sit outside...looks like pretty day at Daytona Beach I do take sunrise/sunset shots but rarely put one up
Glad you enjoy the "view down Daytona Beach" Elizabeth.. The hotel had 4 swimming pools, 2 indoor and 2 outside, a lazy river, a childs pool and hot tubs and hardly took any pictures the whole week...plus I was sort of leery what the salty and moist ocean air might do to the lens
