A monk asked, “The mountains, the rivers, and the great earth-from where did all of these things come forth?”
Tiantai said, “From where did this question come forth?”

Thanks, Steve, for your kind words about "Abstract 4." I'm pleased that you enjoy the fractals. What part of Oregon are you from? I grew up there before moving to Utah. I've lived in La Grande, The Dalles, and Corvallis.
Thanks, Steve for your comment on (Waiting) , we had a wild snowfall here in Indiana, two foot and more. It made everything very pretty don't you think. Merry Christmas, Dwight.

Hi Steve! Thanks for the wonderfully warm words on ~rose-scented bath~. It was fun & I am glad that you enjoyed it! Thanks for stopping by & visiting & welcome to caedes.net!
Oh & Merry Christmas! :~)
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
steve thanks a lot for taking the time to comment on "frozen?".. that is one of my earliest images, and i soon lost ideas for the water photos.. but if i ever get a good camera for outdoors i am interested in photography.
Steve I just wanted to say Thank You for the cooment on Diamond I really appreciate you and your son's input. It means allot that someone takes the time to do so.
Hi and thanks for your comments on 'Prickly.' Yes, I suppose it's a bit too hot here for partridges, and it's not even summer! Actually, it's been fairly chilly - about 55 - 65 F, a lot warmer than the winters where I grew up.

Yeah! The car mirror shot was cool, wasn't it? Paved With Good Intentions was a moment's snap decision, and the one (out of about twenty) shot came out well. Glad you liked it.
Hi Steve and Happy New Year. Yeah, a lot of things seem like a good idea at the time, don't they? Anyway, thanks for commenting on 'Blue Cacuts.' To answer your question, there is a type of cactus here in Arizona that has a bluish color, sometimes ever purple - but I confess I brought out the blue tint a teensy bit with a filter effect, just so it wouldn't look quite so washed-out.
Well Steve, glad you were able to stumble upon the "computer section" of caedes. I know my images are nowhere compared to your gallery, but Im glad that they're at least one step closer to them. THanks again for the comment on "Burst of light". Hope you have a great new year.

Steve, how I appreciate you putting an extra word in your thank you about the quote I chose. She represents class in both art and character in my book and it's my pleasure to pay tribute to her. You are very kind. ;)

Thank you for taking the time to comment on "Louisa Pond" I am glad you liked the picture. And you are right, there was a storm coming in when i took the shot. One of those big, loud late summer thunderstorms.

Hi Oregon, Hi Steve! Very glad you liked a simple nature´s pattern like this (Winter again 11)
I enjoy such pics and for once I´m satisfied with the outcome..

Thank you for the nice comment on "Piece of wood". It was made in summer, and it was just a piece of wood, which lay on the ground and which I accidentially saw :).
P.S.: "Lakeside Early" is a really beautiful picture, it shows the calmness of the morning very good. Especially the tree and the lake are marvellous (and also the fog), but the whole picture is work of art.
God give me the calmness to take the things, which I cannot change, the power to change the things, I should change, and the wisdom make a difference between the two.
Thank you for the comment on my flower picture, that was done with my old camera so i couldnt really focus it very well. but thank you anyway. and I have to say "Liquid gold" and the lakeside picture, and the lilly picture, are beautiful, i love them.

Wow, thank you for all your great comments! It really means a lot for me to know that others enjoy my images as much as I enjoy creating and taking them! I really appreciate it!

Hi Steve, you are faithful, and supportive. I thank you for visiting so often and liking my work!! It does become repititious though, I think. I love roses and feel safe with them. When spring comes, maybe I can try something new, uh. Sincerely, Marilyn
Thanks, Steve, for the compliments on "Sawtooth Range Sunset." Have a great day. It's really snowing here - 30" accumulation in the past 36 hours, and it's still going. They just officially closed the university here and told us all to go home. Looks like I'll be spending the afternoon shoveling. :p
thanks for explaining why that shot of yours looked crooked to me.. after you said that, I looked at it again, and can see what you mean. It really is a great shot. thanks for the help :)
Hey Steve, I probably would have figured it as just an abstract as well... not quite a fractal, but still without that said, thanks for dropping by at "Sinking Under", appreciate it.

Hi, thanks so much for your comment on Ring Tailed Lemur. I really appreciate the feedback. Will take the oppertunity to say that i really love the natural feel you have to all your images and i believe i have already gone into raptures about the photo of the lillies and posted it in the conversation with the image. Again great work and thanks for you comment.
Hi Steve. Thanks so much for appreciating the manipulation of "Gateway to Long Lost Love." Hubby will know the wood and I'll get back to you on that if no one else does before. ;) Unfortunately the original capture didn't include the arched top of the door which also adds to it's charm. We had one like that in a previous home. I miss it.
Thanks for the kudos, Steve. I am glad that you liked "Chasing the Moon". I have seen some pretty cool moon shots lately, so have been making an effort to keep my camera with me at all times. :)
ty for the comment on Hidden Away.. hope you enjoyed it.. and out of curiousity, how would you have toned it down? im always curious as to others point of view..

Hi Steve, my you are so flattering with your kind words on "Nestled Beauty"! You make me think I really no what I am doing, Ha. I am relatively new at this, and you may give me the big head! I appreciate your visits to my gallery. Sincerely, Marilyn
Hello Steve, me again, you know it's funny, but your view on "A Nice Place" was exactly mine when I took the shot! Thank for yours. Also thank you for the very nice PMs you have sent me. It is always fun to get a message. Sincerely, Marilyn
Hello Steve, tks so much for your comments once again, this time on Lilacs!
I am afraid I am out of images unless I have something to play with on the hd still, lol.

Hello Steve, thank you once again for being a wonderful supporter.
I appreciate your comments on Liz Has A Sweet Tooth!
I got one more winter shot with duotones I took last night at midnight.
I will upload it tomorrow.

Thanks for the stop at Hypnotic orange. That one is new and only bloomed once last year, I had to do something with that flower. Glad you found something in there you liked.
Hi Steve, thanks for commenting on"Spring on Ice"! If your tootsie's are cold, please don't turn into a rose and move to Mi. please, or I will put you up on my rock and under the snow, Ha Ha Ha!!! All kidding aside, I just love the softness, the flowers evoke, combined with the hardness of the rock or the coldness of the snow. Perhaps this could mean many things to me reconciliation, unification, a coming together of almost any adversaries, who knows. How do like this for a dissertation? Sorry you mentioned temp?. I am just teasing you, of course. It is all in fun. Sincerely, Michigan
My goodness, I occupy most of your posting page, Ha! Thanks for liking "Merriment", and your detailed description of the image. I just simply love the colors, of course, as you know pink is my favorite! Sincerely, Marilyn
Hello Steve, tks so much for your comments on Chilled.
I tend to do that, early morning or after dark, run out in pj's to get a shot, lol.
Much less these days since I am living in a town again.

Hi Steve, thanks for noting my "Fascination"! The flowers still looked rather fresh, so I just for fun, casually placed them on the table and shot, which is usually my style. I really like informal arrangements, adds interest, I think! Sincerely, Marilyn
