Thanks for the very nice comments on "Daybreak" and "The end" Chris, I truly appreciate your interest and kind words, hope you've had a very nice weekend in Praque (Praag in Dutch) :) and don't worry; the end doesn't mean no more skies or sunsets cause I love those (lol), take care.... Jacky

Hi Chris - thanks for your comments on "Martini". The depth of field on that image is very short, which i think not only gives a sense of the cluter of glassware on the table, but the inability of the patrons to focus on the subject (not me, of course!). The B&W makes it seem seedy, and martini glasses always make me think of 20's , and wasn't the world B&W back then? :) - cheers, kim

Hi Chris . . . Well I am very polite when invited to view lol . . . that doesn't mean I'm predictable though - but you know where my gallery is now!!! :-) Lin
Hi Chris. Glad you enjoyed "Red Leaves" and "I get a peaceful easy feeling.." and really appreciate the time you always take to comment and leave valuable input. On my own PC, I've removed the blue bar at the top of Red Leaves and I must say, it does look better. That's how we learn isn't it. I'm also glad that everyone has their own opinion about what they see through the lens to capture. It brings the most wonderful things out here. Thanks so much Chris. Anita

I sold my A1 to my daughter and I bought an A2. But it's the same camera with 8 MP.
I never had problems with batteries at low temperature. Just be sure to close de anti-shake system. The A200 must be the same.
My last photos were taken with a Nikon D70. But when I'm trekking in the Alps, I prefer the A2, It's much lighter and the result is equivalent, except for the focusing at infinite, which is sometimes a problem...
Thanks again.
Hello Chris...Many thanks for taking the time to have a look at (ENGINE HOUSE) and for your comments, it is very much appreciated....Some of these iconic houses are being allowed to be developed into residential houses. Grade 2 listed of course. At the moment they are falling into ruin and will eventually disapear from the coastal paths. Although a few have been partially reinforced for preservation....Thanks again....All the best....Mick.
Glad you enjoyed the handsome peacock and his bride ;) Chris. Always happy to know that you enjoy my posts and I appeciate your kind comments on all of them. Thanks so much. Anita

The Minolta anti-shake system must be used not only for the focusing, but evidently to take the picture.
That's the moment when the anti-shake gives you a great help (when you are in low light only). Then, when you are in high light (ie in sunny mountains) but with cold weather, turn off the anti-shake system. Hope it helps :-)
So glad you enjoyed the cypress trees Chris and appreciate the time you always take to leave supportive and kind comments. Thanks so much and have a great evening. Anita

Thanks Chris for viewing and commenting on my Sunset Watchers image. These birds lined the shore along Highway 60 crossing the Northern part of Tampa Bay. I found a place to stop and get this handheld photo. They all seemed to be watching the sunset. I'm glad you had a chance to view it.

Hello Chris,
concerning that clock I posted the following subscription:
"No, no, no, you are all wrong.
The answer is that the perspective is totally screwed up.
When you look at this photo, your point of view seems to be right in front of the clock.
But in reality the position of the camera was far to the left and below the clock.
So I hussled the photo until this result came out.
But look closely, you can see the left side of the clock, but not the right hand side.
Look at the curls, are they symmetric? "
Hi Chris, glad you liked the horning shot! I didnt think anyone would.. (too dark, to grainy etc etc), there was really bad lens flare on the original picture, but i liked the sillohettes. so i cloned it out and then to try and disguise the fact that it had been cloned added various filters and noise and contrast until i was happy with the result! Jan
Hi Chris, glad u liked the leaves! lol, they didnt break when i walked on them, they just went soggy , stuck to my shoes and made a mess in the car! ha ha!!!! Jan :-)
So happy to see you at "I have a name" -- Mac and "Arizona Chipmunk. Hopefully all my animal friends will keep my spot open out here for when I return. Thanks so much for all the kudos my posts Chris, you sure make it inspirational to try to do better and better. Have a great week and thanks. Anita

thanks for commenting on the Sphinx.
To answer your question: in France you are allowed to take photographs everywhere, in every museum or castle. Sometimes it is forbidden, for example when there is a temporary foreign exibit. But overall, France is paradise for photography!

Good morning Chris, thanks for the nice comment on my blurred sky and not so blurred raindrops(lol), it was meant for fun and I'm glad you responded accordingly:)

Well!... as I am one of thos persistently stupid persons who thinks that *this day* I will stand still long enough... - I certainly can tell who is the sensible one and uses a tripod!
Kate
