Thanks Don for your comments on my picture “Great White Profile” This is one of about 200 I shot three weeks a-go with my old D-60. Thanks again for your support and welcome to Caedes.

Hi Don, Thanks so much Don taking a peek at "Paco Supreme". I thought of him as soon as I saw the photo you posted of yours. I showed her to my mom and I was right- the first thing out of her mouth was AAH- Thanks so much for commenting- Eileen
You do not have to thank me if I leave a comment on your image...unless you really want to. ...this is a new thing to save time. =) All my thanks are becoming, "Thank you for the comments." over and over... If you want to thank me post a comment on one of my shots. I would appreciate it. Help me develop and grow.

Hi Don and you're right, that IS a lot of horses. How lucky you are though to have shared your lives with animals as beautiful as these. Congratulations also for being married so long- Quite an accomplishment in this day and time.So glad you left me a comment- Eileen
Just a little doodle to pass the time. Thanks for viewing "Haunted House" Don. I'm glad you liked it. It is pretty early yet for Halloween but have a nice one.

Hey Don, I'm so glad you liked my swan,(it wasn't easy to get a close up cause he wouldn't hold still, lol) thanks for stopping by, I appreciate your oppinion
Hi Don, thanks for looking at 'Artichoke or thistle?' I don't want to appear stupid, but I'm still learning....what does DOP control mean ? It will help me for future use . Really appreciate your comments, thanks..... Tony.
Thanks Don for the comments on my picture “Paws” I was surprised this one came out as good as it did. It was shot at 400mm with a shutter speed of 125 and an ISO of 1,000.
Typically not good settings for success. I checked out your gallery Don and you have some nice shots posted.
Snakes scare me as well Don. "Checking you out" is actually a lizzard of some kind but they're just as bad as snakes as far as I'm concerned. I did have a polarizing filter on the Rebel for this. I was at the zoo and it was a very bright and sunny day. Thanks for your very kind comments and I hope to see you again soon. Anita

Thanks Don for the comments on the picture “Claws” The Canon 1.4X tele-converter disables the auto focus on my 100-400mm lens. As you can see my manual focus skills aren’t what they should to be.
Thanks again Don for viewing and commenting on my picture”Monarch” I’m still trying to get proficient with the new macro setup. The manual settings are a little different for the 150mm than they were for the 105mm.

Thanks again Don for commenting on my picture “Lily White” This picture looks a-lot better on my flat panel monitor at home than it does on the CRT here at work.
Thanks for your support Don....I'm glad you enjoyed my work...Not a Pro! ..I'm afraid.....

Thank you Don. You are very kind with your comment on "Yellow Gold". I was really trying hard to focus in on the dampness of the flower. The shine on this diasy comes from a fresh sprinkle of rain. I thought it made it glisten.

Hi Don, thanks for comments left at posting of Egret. You mention that you have trouble shooting action shots of birds. This shot of the Egret was shot just before noon on a bright sunny day with no clouds in open water camera set at automatic. With all this outdoor light the camera set the shutter to fast shutter speed ( probably 1/2000 or faster) which is plenty fast enough to stop action of bird flying. If I was shooting in a low light situation I would set camera to shutter priority and set it at fast speed to stop action. I dinot know what kind of camera you use, but I am using Nikon D50 with 2 zoom lenses. But shot like this you have to be ready and try to anticipate birds actions as they are mainly spontanious. You are shooting birds now with your birdfeeder so practice action shots, though small song birds are harder then shot of Egret...you have this Heron down at your pond...try action shots with him...hope this helps. You are shooting digital so take a lot of shots and then weed out bad ones with preview screen....gerry..
this sort of thing really reminds me of my own peasant grandfather and gran
I can remember as a youngster (only 30 or so years ago) scything and then tying classic or if you like cliché wheatshefs! threashing with a steam driven threasher and then re sheafing the straw
hard work!
I can still handle a scythe today! but most of that kind of manual activity has gone now
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.
