Hi, Amy, many thanks for your comment on Island Sunset. Glad you liked this shot. I have a couple lovely sunsets that I shot a long time ago when I lived in Nebraska. You're in a great state for that type of photography.

Thanks Johanna and Accipiter, its my pleasure to look at some of these pictures. NE is a wonderful state for sunsets, especially in spring when the big storms roll in.

Thank you very much for the nice compliment on "Slice of Oregon." Photography is the process (some call it art) of capturing light. In this particular instance, I had photographed the scene on 2 previous occasions. Though it's a beautiful place, somehow the pictures didn't speak to me. So I didn't post them. When I drove past the third time, and it was just the right time of year and day for the light to fall as it did, I knew why I waited. The lesson I learned that day is that patience is also a large part of photography. Thank you so much for letting me know you liked the photo. Comments like yours make me even more glad I waited!
