To test how Caedes works, I took this photo with my iPhone. No, it isn't remotely near the quality of the meanest photo by anyone else here.

It would be interesting to see the effect of moving the horizontal line. I think the full tree reflection would be cut off but how that would impact, I am not sure. The poem was an original of mine that I wrote while stationed in Taiwan, in 1971. What did you think of it? Thanks for your comment ~~ John

I must say, I was quite impressed with a comparison with Franz Peter Schubert and the mention of “Das Heimweh.” He was a gentleman who created masterpieces in so many different genres. I hope your “homesickness” becomes so great that a visit would be in the near future! Thank you for commenting, dear illiamna on "Cutting Through." ~~ John

You were very kind in your review of "Reflections from a Drink." I thought the ripple effect made the flower appear to be bending over for a drink and pausing once she noticed her reflection. A female flower version of Narcissus, though I doubt if many mand that journey with me into the classics. Thank for taking a look at it and leaving me a comment. It is much appreciated. ~~ John

In "Passing Thru On The Way To Somewhere" you so easily and gracefully associated my love of math with one of the most famous of all graphic artists, MC Escher. I am not as familiar as I should be of his work but I loved his "Drawing Hands." It is one of those pieces that after you have seen it, you would like to use the concept but don't because it was an original and you don't go there!! ~~ John

I have always loved "Easter Bouquet." Conceptionally, it is the abstract view of looking down on a vase of flowers. The blue table, the green vase and leafs. The flowers tilted to one side. Ah yes, I was quite proud of it and it was not liked by the majority who saw :( ~~ John

"The Pool of Present Futures" was one of my favorites too. The title says it all. That cess pool is breeding tomorrows futures. Thanks for commenting on it. I too loved the colors! ~~ John

"Spiders On My Cucumbers" was one of those myoptic works that everyone but me saw the kiwi!! The ring of white objects were the cucumbers and the green was to be plates. I then overlaid them until I had a variety of plates of varying sizes. I added the "Caedes" spiders and thought how clever I am. But, they looked like kiwi. Ahhhhhhhhh ~~ John

I am a huge fan of Monet, Manet, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Seurat (look at my avie), and Caravaggio. Thanks for taking a peek at "Tempest" and drawing your comparison. ~~ John

"Resumption" is a little more difficult to explain. Everything in life happens in a split second. What you are witnessing in "Resumption" is each of those split seconds peeling off and leaving the picture of the present. Me thinks! ~~ John

The Dog was alive and not stuffed. He was just sitting still and watching me. It turned out better then I imagined. That for commenting on Watchdog.

Thanks for your comment on "Pleasantly between Gwynedd and Torent." I bet you would be in the minority in picking up on the usage of names in the title. Also, would love to see more of your work. ~~ John
