Thanks so much for the glowing words you left on ~sun-kissed~ Fred. That was my very first upload to this site. I had my hubby's antique digital camera at the time & took the picture at a shopping mall parking lot! The lighting was just right for that day :)..I, too, love the tulip. Here in the USA, it gives me the hope that Spring is not that far away! Glad you enjoyed :))
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
Hi Fred, thank you for your nice comments on "Days Gone By" - I appreciate you checking it out, This barn seems to have a personality, it does also look very intriguing in the spring and early summer with everything all green around it. But, I think they are planning on tearing it down to build houses soon, so I may not have a chance to get another good shot. Have a great day!
Thanks Fred for commenting on "Deep in the Heart of Texas" - I do love living in Texas, so many beautiful places, and so BIG! But someday, I would really love to visit your part of the world, I see so many many beautiful pictures of Holland and the Netherlands - windmills and tulips! And tulips are my most favorite flower in the world!! Thanks for visiting my gallery, I'm glad you like my pictures. Have a great day!!!
Hi Fred, thank you so much for your kind words on "My Place"! I also offer to you my big WELCOME to Caedes and hope you enjoy the wonderful people on this site as I have! Have fun! Sincerely, Marilyn
Hi Fred, thank you so much for your vote of confidence! I do hesitate to diversify, try other things, that old confort zone, you've heard about? LOL! Many thanks for your comments on "A Northern Creek"! I speak specifically of northern Mi. I am sure you have heard how truly beautiful our state is. Texas would be great fun as well, but for very different reasons, right? Please stop by for another visit, I would enjoy that! Sincerely, Marilyn
Hi thanx for the comment about Moonshot..no I dont mind at all if you print the pic...am honored you feel that way...makes my day happy to know someone likes it that much!!

Hi Fred! Thanks for visiting my "Crab Shack"! Glad you stopped by! Sorry to hear about the cold weather there in Holland - how cold does it get there? We are having 100 degree weather here--hot!! Have a great day there, I think your day is starting while mine is ending!
Hi Fred, thank you so much for your lovely words on "Curvy Creek"! Also, Fred I offer to you a big WELCOME to Caedes and hope you enjoy the wonderful people on this site as much as I have! Please visit again! About the location of the creek, I would send it to you, only the Netherlands are to far away (smiling)! Sincerely, Marilyn
While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see. ~Dorothea Lange
Thanks for finding my 'cannon' image. from your projects line above it seems that you have more than a passing interest in antique firearms. Some shots of that might go over really well here!
Groeten, Eric.
You saw my picture "So Blue" and liked it for which I'm very grateful. It sure is a little butterfly; it is as big as a nail of my little finger. Thanks for looking and voting.
Groeten, Eric
Good morning Fred
Many thanks for your appreciative comments on "Unknown purple flower". Yes, I had thought initially an Arum, but this speciman did not fit any of the descriptions that I had - not conclusive, because there are, my book tells me, about 25 species, but only 4 are actually described, all various shades of white or green, so it could be one of those other 21 not described.
Enjoy your day

Hey Fred thx for your kind words on beware of beauty itis appreciated ,
you are the first to notice that the rose itelf was a bit out of focus .It is always nice to see that does little details don't go unnoticed.
Hi there Fred...and thank you for such an awesome comment about my rose photos..especially this last one...the Unbelievable Rose..I loved the shadows and sunlight so much that were on it...You are a good friend..and I sure enjoy your comments. I think I m geting spoiled..hehe

Hi Fred. Thanks for commenting on 'Highland Cow'. Would you believe i actually took this image from a bus window with a digicam that doesnt know how to zoom in! I was well pleased with the result :)

Thanks for coming back again to leave that nice comment on Eurasian eagle owl "Bubo bubo" (Oehoe uil).
I appreciate you taking the time and very glad you liked it.
Thank you for visiting as well as commenting on "Carling Mosses"! 8^)
~Ouimon~ Some of the most memorable experiences are with family, and to have a photo that is stunning really brings those memories back and keeps them alive!
I'm glad you got a chance to check out my Bison picture. While we were at the farm we got a lot of good information about bison. It's a shame there aren't more of them in the wild.
Fred,
Thank you for visiting my Buffalo image. Tjis gu was not seven feet at the shoulder but maybe six feet. No matter, when he snorted we stoped as he meant, "you have come close enough." As he passed by me you could feel the power of the woderful beast.

Thanks you so much for your comment on Garden Spider 2.. I am pleased to find someone else who can appreciate her beauty as much as I do.. She is about 3 cm across, so she is quite large.. I really enjoy having her in the garden.. Thanks again..
Hi Fred...thanks a lot for dropping off some nice comments on both Harrison Park and High Park...very glad you liked them and that Harrison Park turned out well for your screen size...much appreciated.
Hello Fred. Here I live not more than 150 miles from "Covered Crossing" and I'm learning things from someone half way around the world that I didn't know. I really appreciate your comments. I've entered that data into my image sorting software.
I think I'll go look through your Gallery.
We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.

Thanks for you comment on Friendly Grasshopper.. This character follows me all over the garden.. He (or she) seems to like me, and know I would never hurt him.. He seemed to be posing for me.. I was very close and not a bit of fear.. I got several good shots but liked this one the best... I do appreciate your comment..
Thank you Fred for the comments on "Between Classes". I know what you mean by liking these old building. I like to photograph them in order to preserve them in case something does happen to them. I try to do more than take "record" shots. I love to preserve them artistically.
The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it will always move. This is the artist’s way of scribbling; “Kilroy was here” on the wall of the final and irrevocable oblivion through which he must someday pass.

Hoi Fred
Hello, Fred! Thank you so much for the compliment on Twins of the Sky.. The sunflower and pine against the blue sky... I am just so happy to share some of the photos that mark my memories with those of you in Caedes because I find many good people are able to share some of their moments with me, and they also enjoy mine. This IS A GREAT THING.. and again, I appreciate your kind comments as well as the vote. ~Ouimon~ Paul W
Thank you so much for your kind words on Sunrise. Sorry it took so long to say thank you it has been a busy holiday weekend. The sunrise from my deck is a great thing if it only lasted longer.
Hi Fred. Very nice to meet another carpenter on this site ! ..and thanks for your kind words and high voting on my little mushroom family...lol..the colours contrast very well as you said. I didn´t dare to pick and eat these mushrooms, however..I was not not sure if it was a "skull & bone shroom" or not..lol.There are maybe twelve different mushrooms in the forests I recognize easily. Thanks again. -- Arne --
Hello there and thank you so so much for your kind comments about my photo postings. We all need good comments..thats what makes this site so nice..Thank you again!!!
Hi, Fred...don't know if we've met before... Thanks so much for taking a closer look at "Balloon Chase Revisted." Your comments really made my day!

Hi Fred, how nice of you to stop by for a visit and to leave your lovely comments on "September Walk"! I feel so profoundly that during these difficult times in the USA, that a photo like this depicted those feelings! Thank you, Sincerely, Marilyn
Thanks so much for your comment on Summer Rose.. I was rather surprised when it bloomed and just had to get a picture.. We are having a bad drought here, and I have to carry water to the roses, just to keep them alive..
Thank you for your nice comment on "Outside My Window". Yes, it is too bad that I only have that view for two weeks but that's what cameras are for, huh? hehe. Thanks again,
~Marianne
Thanks, this time for the compliments on "Caterpillar". It sure is a handsome fellow with all these colours. I only saw this one and I still haven't find out what species it belongs to.
Gr. Eric
Hello, carpenter friend ! I was glad to see your kind comment on Shroom Composition. An unusal angle, but I like to find them..and this one works, I think. Is it possible for you to pick some eatable mushrooms in Holland/Netherlands ? I look forward to the mushroom season every year - it´s such a relaxing and joyful thing to try to find them in the woods.
Thanks for stopping by, Fred. -- Arne --.
Hello, Fred, and thanks for your kind comment on "Swans and lilies". And yes, dad was there too - he's just out of shot on the RH side, lurking in the reeds by the near bank and keeping a close eye on things. He hissed just to let us know that was as near as we were going to get :-)
