I believe the second half of one's life is meant to be better than the first half. The first half is finding out how you do it. And the second half is enjoying it....
Thanks for asking....:)
I live in Florida, originally from Alabama. Married, 3 kids...disability retired from the Postal Service. I love photography { of course}...and love this website! I found it whilst looking for good desktop slideshow pics...and decided I would join and maybe send a few of my own. Your turns!
Hi Terri..well, I hope you are doing ok after that hurricane hit so hard...I live in Oregon, originally from Germany...raised in South Dakota...A friend from online told me about caedes...I will always be grateful to him for that. I'm happy you like it here...and looking forward to some nice photo shots from yu...welcome again!
Hi Terri, thanks so much for your nice comment on my "Messembria". I have never been to art school as well. But I just adore painting and I am a self learner. I believe everybody can paint if he only believes his eyes and lets his hands follow the view. I greatly appreciate your comment on my works, as comments like yours give me courage to continue and never give up.
Jenny
Hi Terri from Fla.,,
Thanks for the support on "Twisted" I have a facination for rust and old painted textures. They're not everyone's cup of tea. I could keep submitting tree and river shots and get bigger votes but I'm not satisfied doing that, I need more texture in my life.......texture rules !
John
Thanks again Terri, I didn't see the comment on "The Angels that keep my demons away" until much later in the day and wish to say that you hit the nail on the head on that piece, because that is exactly the perspective I was going for. Thanks again, Dave
Hi Terri, i am from Indiana glad to hear from you. If i don't hear from you again, Merry Christmas, and thanks for your nice comments on Late February. Hope you enjoy your stay here at Caedes, lot's of nice people here. Peace and happiness in all ways. Dwight.
Hi Terri! I am very happy you liked my "Bulgarian Seaside". I really put a lot of heart and love in this picture. The model was a picture from a bulgarian web-site. The clouds were a little bit impersonal in there, so I decided to change them. So the total effect changed this way. Again, I appreciate a lot your support and I hope you have a Very Merry Christmas! :)
Jenny
Thank you for your positive feedback on Christmas tree. I am glad you found it worth your time and a nice comment. It is the first time we have such a nice construction for Christmas in Warsaw. Merry Christmas
Hi Terri, Many thanks for taking the time to comment on 'McCaigs Tower' I realy appreciate it and am so glad you like it. Thanks for the support.
Ian :o)
Thank you Terri for your comments on "The Wanderer". It's amazing how an image can provoke so many different emotions. Yours is one I hadn't thought of.
I'm really pleased you liked it.
the weather in the High Tatra's is very changable ... later that day the skies were cloudy but still very very bright and the mountains still very dramatic
Thank you for your nice comment on "wading through the snow". You must be kidding... haven't seen snow for 25 years? Well here in Caedes you can find loads of snow. Glad you aren't afraid of the cold. I had to put on very warm clothes before going out with my camera to the forest.
Hi Terri.....Thankyou for visiting my "Winter Willows" image and leaving a comment....It is interesting that you mention the way the trees are cut. This is the traditional way of keeping willows in Northern Europe....and healthy trees with good growth don't look anything like as sad as the trees in my picture.
HI Terri, Thanks for your great comments on 'Lizard and Flowers'. I am so very greatful. I was very fortunate with the Lizard shot. We got of a bus at our hotel and (shame on me) I didn`t have my camera. I ran up to the room and back down and luckily he was still there.
I'm glad you like my photo "Stormy Pond". This particular place was great to be if you were a kid visiting. They had great huge sand dunes that were like mini valley's that you could run up and down in. There were quite a few of them. This pond ( actually a small inlet of a lake ) was at the bottom of one of these dunes. Thanx a lot!
I see the winter season realy got you under the spell. I am glad you found my "sun warmth" worth your visit and thank you for your warm comment. I beleive the winter captures look much better with a bit of sunshine, don't you agree?
Thanks.. Glad you enjoyed my Spider on Catnip.. I am in Michigan and we have them here every summer.. I welcome them to my garden because they keep the pests down.. They are not dangerous and quite friendly.. I just love them..
Hi again, thank you so much for your taking the time to browse my gallery and make such nice comments. I really appreciate it. Your so kind :) Have fun viewing and again, remember I thank you.
Dear Terri,
Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting on my 'strange cityscape'. Just as you say that you love art in all forms - I love to find beauty everywhere which is practically the same LOL
ditto plus thanks for admiring the prickly sweet hedgehog ! What is it with the dogs that they feel it is obligatory to try and fight the hedgehogs - by all means - barking if catching is impossible LOL
Thanks for your Comment on Another Storm passing. Keep posting those pictures of Florida, I grew up in Cocoa Beach and haven't been able to make it back there in years.
Oh god! Terri, you actually made me blush with the second comment on Moony palms, I am really glad you enjoyed that...
Thank you very much once again...
Hi Terri, thanks for your comments on "Orange Beauty"! And I'm glad you like "Ricky Raccoon 1" so much!...
My friends in Michigan raised Ricky because his mother got run over. They are fun to play with when they are young =P
Ooooerrr! this is getting to be a habit....'Sun-Rise over Waskerly' I took this one Tuesday....I twas 'bleaking' freezing up on those thar! hilly moorlands!.....another funny thing happened there !!!!!!!!!not as bad as the pigs ...'but'!
Hi Terri...ahhhh my friend, thanks so much for your support and nice comments on my image (Perfect Happiness) much appreciated and all your time in staying with me. Thanks a bunch...come back next time well have some tea :)
Oh Terri your so wonderful...I again want to thank you for your nice comment on (Purple Haze) and so glad that you liked this one too. I so appreciate you :) Your the best !!!
thank you for your thoughtful comment on "Kitchen Knife". To tell you the truth, I really like to cook but I am far away from what you would call a Chef. But you were right though, I am multi-talented - I can cook AND sing a song at the same time which is quite unusual for a man ;-))
Thank you so much for your nice words and support,my friend...
Bernd
Thanks Terri for those great comments on my Backyard Dragon Fly 3 image. I'm glad you found it interesting. It's sitting on a metal bird sculpture made from old tools.
Russ
Thanks for your support and for stopping by to check out my "Korel's Winery." This is the first time I have manipulated a picture. It had electrical lines through the middle of the picture.
You were wrong my friend about the frozen lake. This was a very crowded place you see. As soon as the sun appreared on the horizon crowds of anglers appeared on the frozen lake to try their luck... They are very stuborn so they spent there the whole day sitting over the ice-holes waiting for a golden fish, lol. We only cannot see them because they were sitting right behind the trees on the right, there is a small bay. Still thank you very much for your nice comment.
Thanks for your kind comment on my posting "4UU-8". You asked if he was aware of my presence. He was part of a wild herd of 100 or so others. I was driving down the highway and saw an unusual collection of cars simply pulled over at the side of the road. Looking further I could see a string of people walking towards a field. In the field was the herd! This was a new experience for me so I grabbed my camera and joined the 30 or so people to seize the moment on film. I got within about 50' of the edge of the herd and didn't want to get closer for fear of a) disturbing them b) they choosing to disturb me! I was greatful for a long lens and the opportunity to spend a few moments with something that natural.
Thank you for your visit to the lonely cucumber frog ("hi there"). It asked me to tell you she is very pleased you found her so nice. She would like to be your friend, lol. You see she is so lonely in her little pond... Guests do not visit her too often. She hopes you will drop by from time to time.
