Let me be the first to welcome you Martina to the Caedes family.
Enjoy your time here I think you will like it.

Thank you, both! I learned of this site through a friend of a friend, and am really enjoying looking at all the work on here. There are a lot of talented photographers on here! I look forward to spending some time on here, and hopefully learning some new stuff!

Hi Martina

Thanks for the great comments, most welcomed. I am a designer my self, first Degree, Industrial Design followed by Graphic Design. I shot this landscape and opted for the portrait to get closer to the food as the plate is big and also to have some background of interest. The photo has not been touched up at all, and I will be doing post work for press ready when I shoot the finals. I am practising to shoot a whole bunch of food for a recipe book I am publishing. So I am on a crash course in food photography and food presentation. I am doing a four recipes this Sunday and shooting them. I need someone to feed LOL :)

Hi

Thanks for the response. The book is about the food I grew up with, my parents are Lebanese, I learn't to cook from my mother and sister. As I was brought up in West africa there is a little of that in there as well. I will keep you informed. It is exciting and also a little nerve racking, beacuse I so much want to do a good job. Thanks again :)

Hi

Thanks for you lovely comments on Kiwi fruit, this one I like as well, the plate comes from Japan which I got as a gift around two weekks ago from my partner. I hope it was the fruit you ate, I believe New Zealanders don't taste so good...LOL. Australians love to pay out on NZ, I think it is because of their funny accents. If you meet one ask them to say six, eggs, capsicum, and chips in one sentence. Cheers

Thanks for taking the time to comment on "Who's a Pretty Bird?". I appreciate the criticism on how to make the pic better. Thanks!

Titus 3:5-7, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6: Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7: That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." Why did Jesus Christ have to die on the cross if all it took was good works to get to heaven? It is THROUGH Jesus Christ's blood that He saved us from Hell. If we could get to heaven on our own then Jesus Christ would've had to die again and again. If you ANY questions please pm me.
