" ... this creation has a very comfortable feeling to it for me and that is good."
I wasn't able to put into words why the image appealed to myself as well. Aside from the obvious reasons that it is mine. :oP
Now, in retrospect and with the benefit of your commentary ... which is on the money, in my humble opinion ... there is a 'feel' to this one. Glad you found it inviting enough to place some considered words.
Thanks again for the kind appraisal, it is appreciated. :o)

Thanks for stopping in at "Painted Beauty", Mimi. I'm glad you enjoyed the beauty of this lily. Our visit to the daylily farm was almost overwheming with so many diffent colorations of the flower.

Hi Mimi ... Many thanks for your kind words on "Lilacs". They do have a lovely scent. These lavender ones are next to a local church. I have two white lilacs in my yard & always find it difficult to get a good capture of them. Glad you enjoyed it. Sherree

Mimi,
Thanks for commenting on Little Red Foxes. I wish I could take the credit for snapping those 3 little cuties, but my lens isn't quite as impressive as Larry, my co-worker's. So glad you liked the shot, I'll pass on to him. Thanks again, it's always nice to hear from someone new! Pam :)

Hello Mimi. We had a picture perfect day when I took “Smokey Feet”. I actually got a slight touch of sunburn that day :-) To answer your question: I let the camera look after the focus for that shot. Thank you for the interesting comments about it.

Hi Mimi, Thank you so very much for viewing The Spice Merchant , and for your most generous comments. Many of the qualities you mentioned about it, are the same reasons I had liked this flame from the beginning. I have held onto it for quite some time due to corrections I felt I needed to make, and was only able to make them with this latest version of Apo. I'm very pleased that you like it, and that you took the time to tell me so. Thank you for the fav+ as well :)

Thanks for your comment on "Solar Storm"
I really appreciate it :)
It was more along the lines of a Digital panting than a render
It was done using different Filters and Whatnot so i didn't put it under illustrations :)

Hi Mimi,
Thanx for dropping in having a look at Audhumbla, i appreciate it.
The cow is a photo i took and is altered to look like a painting or drawing. I inserted her to the background wich i created in photoshop.
Thanks a million for your honest critique of Silver Blue Jay Christmas Card. I so appreciate your comments and will make some adjustments according to your suggestions. anne :-)
There are tons of websites for uploading snapshots - photos of your neice, back yard, etc. "Caedes Man" did not start this website for that purpose. His intent was to offer a venue for folks to share artistic images that could be used as desktop backgrounds. Does anyone really want an out of focus shot of a dog for a desktop background? probably not. Let's share the good stuff and help others by telling them what's good or how to improve an image. We could all make Caedes a great site for everyone and use those other places for the snapshot sharing. A first rate family snap sharing website is www.easysite.com. FREE website to share all your snaps plus a whole lot more. Thanks for giving honest and usable feedback. Blessings to all, anne :-)

Thanks so much for your detailed comments on the Lemurs Mimi. I so appreciate knowing what people really see in a photo - what they like or don't like. You're a true Caedian with heart! anne :-)
Tell me if you like it or don't but be sure to tell me why! I promise to always give honest and sincere (albeit gentle when necessary) critiques. MY NEW YEARS TIP for all, go have some fun with your new gear you got for Christmas. Do some things you rarely or never do. If you always shoot scenics, go shoot macros (or as close up as you can get.) Practice on different subjects, try new lighting techniques, bracket your shots (shoot the same image at different exposures and different apertures), get down low and shoot from your back, your belly, and your knees. Bend, twist, lean and climb up on things. Shoot toward the sky (carefully - blown out sunlight is NOT attractive :-) Just do something different and amaze yourself then share with us :-) Love you Caedians.
Happy New Year to you Mimi! I've been out of circulation over the Christmas period so apologies for responding late. I hope you had a great time and that 2009 will be a happy year for you.

Thanks, Mimi, for your comments on my shot of the Crepe Mrytles. I did consider doing some cropping, still could as a new post, but I was trying to show the bigger picture of what a beautiful look the street has when the trees are in blossom.
Hello Mimi....Your kind words on (FIELD OF HOPE)are very much appreciated...The project raises loads of money for the appeal and that is wonderful...Over here in the Cornwall the majority of the fields are awash with the yellow of this beautiful flower....Thankyou again Mimi....All the best to you....Mick.
I am so glad that I brought some happiness to your day (when you saw my picture)!! Thank you very, very much for your comment on 'now my feet won't touch the ground'. When I painted this (watercoloured it), it was really fun. The strokes I did were light and soft, so I guess that has fitted in to the picture. I didn't intend for her background to blend in to the background but it just happened, but I did wanted it. Thanks again!!

Thank you Mimi for the comment on "Unknown bird" I found out it is a Chukar, from the Pheasant family. They release them in wildlife areas for hunters to kill them, how nice. I am glad the ones I saw survied for now. Ed and Garrett identified the bird for me. Thanks also for the link, and HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY to you. ~BIG HUG~ Gregg
