Hey, welcome to Caedes.net. Enjoy your time here and thanks for the comment on Reality. I don't play either of the Diablos but I do play StarCraft and Broodwar. I used to play WarCraft III but, well, let's just say 'rents didn't like it.

Stir Fry Starter Kit was just the starting items for my stir fry. I added garlic, sugar peas, broccoli, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, baby corn, shrimp, chicken and a stir fry sauce. The original ingredients were just too pretty not to use for a still life. I'm glad you like it. Thanks for the nice comments Nigel. I appreciate your support of this image.

Thanks for the note on "Old Driftwood Beaver Dam"! It was great to be there and I am happy to share it with the Caedes Community! I appreciate your comment! While standing on the dam, a BIG BEAVER kept swimming close.. I thought it was going to attack! It just wanted to cross the old dam into the big lake. When you have a 40 pound beaver coming that close you start wondering what it could do with those choppers!

Nigel,
Thanks for stoping by and visiting my, Monument Valley Revisited. are 100 percent correct. There have been many times that I had to wait on top of the canyon walls while they filmed a car commericial. It is fun to watch a new car drive very fast and kick up a lot of dust. Then the directior calls for" one.more take" Everyone gets busy and dusts off the car and gets it lookling perfect just so they can get it dirty again.

Thanks Nigel for viewing and commenting on my On Golden Pond 5 photo. The fish was the hardest part of this image to manipulate. It took a while to get it to look like it was under water. The trees and leaf reflection was given a wind ripple along with the ring ripple. This was a series of progression in learning to use layers and filters.

Hi, Nigel...thanks for stopping in and leaving such nice comments on "Treetops." Good luck with Ultra Fractal. It takes a bit of "experimentation" to get started, but I'm discovering that it's a program with lots of possibilities.

Thanks again for your comment on To Be Who You Are, thanks for liking the colors, I do work on them the most so its nice to hear that people like them, also, you said that the renders take forever, mine don't, XYZ posted a discussion on rendering settings, his are really good and fast you should look at it, after you use his resize, increase contrast, lower gamma and increase saturation.

Thanks for the feedback on "Soo Farm" you live in God's country if you're up there. And just as a side note, since you're a drummer, I live next to a drummer named Jeremy Taggart ( from Our Lady Peace.)
Hi Nigel! Thanks so much for taking the time to look at and comment on "fall colors fractal". Your nice words mean a lot to me...I especially like "radical". I haven't had anyone say that yet........thanks!!!!!!! Have a happy and peaceful day.
Thanks also for the comments on "Orb Spectra" and "Macrocosm" - I'm glad you like them, and I'm pleased to hear "Orb Spectra" made it into your favs...
Thanks for your words on Shell Point Critter! I really did like how Andy (co2metal) worked on his manipulations, so I thought that I'd give it a try, I'm going to try it again, but I'm going to work even more on the next, glad you like, thanks!
Also thanks for your words on Experimenting! Are you getting bored of manipulations? Its ok, that is why I made a fractal, another one coming tomorrow.
Thanks for your comment on Newly Discovered! There wasn't supposed to have a texture...I was going for something like uranus or neptune...I don't know which one is all blue but whatever...thanks again!
Thanks Nigel. I had a lot of fun taking these. I think the skiers do too, but it is easy for them to injure themselves.

Some of the photos in your gallery are awesome, and i love landscape photos in particular, so i really like the scenery you have photographed. The photos i take are a lot similar to yours, so if you ever get the chance then it would be good to get your opinion on some of my landscape photos. I will definetely be using one of your pics as a desktop background.
Hey Nigel...thanks so much for dropping by with your nice comments on Leafy Lounge...very glad you enjoyed it...my own cat doesn't cooperate that well when it comes time to take his picture...I guess this little kitten, a stray I think, was too tired to object or maybe just liked some attention...anyhow, thanks again...I appreciate your time and visit.:Pat.

Thanks a lot for taking a good look at my gallery. I appreciate that :) And for what you said about 'Endless Rain'... well I think it's not my best but it's funny how you just picked Cain from all of those with kinda same style. Actually I can thank only Cain for finding this site. I was looking for a new wallpaper and after nearly two weeks of trying this and that I found Cain's 'Complex memory'. Only after that I started to see how great work everybody here are doing. ...and then to 'Bliss of the winternight'. I think that yes, you could surely do that kinda stuff. The original was a photo, then I used only one strong effect and finally took a negative of it.
Thanks for the comments on the amphibious friend photos, its great getting feedback, and im glad at least one of them got a 70 plus c-index. Frogs are everywhere around here at the moment it seems - although you wouldnt ever see them just hopping around they do often hide around the house.. i might do a revised cropped version of no.2 but otherwise thats the series finished....
My You looking at me photo was taken on a foot bridge crossing a dam on a lake in North Georgia. This Bold Jumping Spider was very agressive towards the camera when I moved close to take a photo. Thanks Nigel for the nice comments.

Hey Nigel! Thanx for the nice comment on my car and car pic..The miles? nawww I will never tell..hehe...well, lets just say I bought it when it had 56 miles on it, and I've put a few thousand on it now, considering I take probably way too many road trips..lol But its in good shape and lots of fun. You know, I was parked one day near Safeway in a town in MOntana, and a little guy on a bicycle..he was prob 8 yrs old or so...came and stopped at my car and said "thats a kewl car you have and I love the chrome wheels!"..so cute, there are still people who comment about my car and the rims...so that makes it all the more fun. ITs in great shape, has wide tires, black leather seats that lay back...and its just a plain comfy and fun car, and yes, it is FAST...so fast I've gotten three tickets in 5 yrs...so thats too much, so I've slowed down a bit, well, I also got me a "fuzz buster"....(radar detector) lol...thank you again..for the interesting comment my friend...V
To love what you do and feel that it matters--how could anything be more fun?!
Hi again, by the way? the reason the name Bloozy is due to my loving the music The BLues and also the colour blue..hehe...online it is spelled Bloozey_ and on the license we could only have six letters..ah well, close enough..>V

Hi Nigel. Thanks for viewing and commenting on "Nerve Endings." The orginal fractal was the center object. The pieces in the corners are mirrored images from the original fracal. I put them in because there was so much black space. And I thought it looked better this way. And sorry about the size!!
Nigel,
Thanks for the kind words regarding Coastline Florence. I really appreciate them and I'm glad you liked it. FYI, the shot was taken with an Olympus E-500. In fact, my last 6 or 7 posts were taken with the E-500. (shots of the Oregon coast). Check them out for more examples of what the camera can do - or at least what I've been able to make it do in the short time that I've had it. I like the camera. The two lens kit is a real bargain.

Thanks for dropping by and viewing The Fans. I realize it is not really the best desktop but when the dome was first built I hated these guys .. and now I see it differently. You can get used to anything.
Regarding Tie-Dye Sky, yes, I fired the camera's flash so that I could get the green of the grass in the foreground into the shot and enrich the pictures color palette.

Hi Nigel
I sometimes go at around like 15-20 mph at the most on my scooter..I'm only guessing that from the fact that my neighborhood has a 15 mph speed limit and I haven't gotten a ticket....yet. I've used scooters for years and had a few crashes of course, but I still love them..Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for commenting "A New World". I don't exactly remember what olympus it is but at least it is one of the "good ones" but again fully digital with 5 megapixels.
Thanks for your flattering comments on Waterworld. Very much appreciated!!! :) It was just an Apophysis flame that I tweaked (for several hours...hehe) in PaintShopPro and I'm so happy your enjoyed the image.

Actually yesterday my internet connection was down, and so I was browsing through all my pictures taken this month. There were some really good ones, and I also have many more on my camera, so I'll be putting up pictures for a while. I should have some good renders coming soon though. Can't wait to put them all up!

Hi again Nigel...I use my Nikon Digital CoolPix camera. I usually have it on Automatic setting. IT has 4 megapixels which isnt so great, but when I bought it I thought it would be fine . Ive been a bit disappoiinted with this camera. I should have stuck with Canon, its a much better company. I have a Canon SLR and love it. There are way too many settings and adjustments that have to be made on the Nikon. I try not to do too much editing, I like the pics the way nature has them. But I enjoy your comments a lot..V

Kia Ora Nigel, thanks for leaving a comment on Kawarau River. The water really is that beautiful colour, I am told it is the minerals in it.I have another shot to post today. No worries there Nigel I know how much you love your art and how annoying it can be when nothing is going right. So I look forward to seeing your amazing work flowing in again.
P.S. Do you think my fractral work is improving any.

HI Nigel, sorry I'm behind a bit… thanks for the comment on SPY VS SPY CAEDES BBQ 2006. The alligator was actually put there by Jac (J_272004), it was a group project for the BBQ. Everyone picked up the image and added something more 8•)

Hey, good morning Nigel. For you time and comments on Only A Vision, i thank you so very much. Glad you enjoyed it, sunsets are one of my things and they are so many to enjoy here on Caedes. Have a great day up North. Dwight.

Hi Nigel, thanks for checking out "Infected Tissue." It was one of those renders I wasn't sure if I wanted to upload or not. But I decided to anyway, thanks for your kind words ~ Jen
Thank you Nigel for your kindest of words for Alien Heart. I am really glad that you like it and I appreciate you dropping by looking and commenting on the image. Yes there is going to be plenty more of the alien series.

Thanks for commenting my "Sunrise in January" . Yes I can understand if you wonder if this picture is taken in the winter, it looks like there is leaves in the trees, but there was only alot of frost. Humid air and cold weather make this frost on the branches. /HJ
My buddy Nigel, how's life been treatin' ya? Thanks Nigel for your words on both "GGGBalls of Fire" and "Dancing Cow" the cow was a comic entry and I'm glad you liked it.
Glad you liked "Chaos Matrix", part of your comment could be interpreted positively and negatively, so in either case, I hope you are more careful and just say what you mean. Thanks though.

Hey Nigel! Thanks for the kind words on "Wave of Terror III" It was a fun series to make. I think in my next project I'm going to try and tackle Terragen. Lol, I need a break from Apophysis for a while ~ Jen
Hey Nigel, thanks for checking out "Isolation..." The whole image took me about thirty minutes to create and then another thirty to render it. As for the water, I'm sure theres a way to make it look more realistic, but as I said, I'm a novice with it, you know what they say, practice makes perfect. ~ Jen
Thankyou very much for commenting on "Serenity." Very much appreciated!
Ephesians 2: 8 & 9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Why did Jesus have to die on the cross if all it took was good works to get to heaven? And if you had to earn salvation it wouldn't be a gift, it would be a wage. And if you had to be good enough to get saved then how do you know when your there? Questions about Jesus? Send me a personal message.
Hey Nigel, you always leave such nice comments on my work. As for "Over the Waterfall..." You actually like the mist? Lol, I hate it!! But everyone sees something different I guess when they look at art. Despite the lack of quality, I'm glad you liked it still. Inspires me to keep trying! Your friend Jen :)
Hey Nigel, Thanx for your comments on my Elf!! I appreciate you stopping by to take a look. I looked through your gallery and see that you have some lovely talent. Keep it up, you have nice work. Thanx again...........................LPF

Hey there Nigel
Thanks for the comment on Summer Bliss 4, much appreciated. I'm still trying to get it right, but the sky here is generally a dull white instead of bright clear blue =( Hopefully we'll have mostly blue sky for the rest of the summer. Thanks again!

Howdy from Arizona! Thanks for stopping to comment at "This Anna's a Male" and glad you liked it. Got a couple more like this here already and may post a couple more down the road. But I have LOTS of pics of S ends of N bound hummers! Did you get your Canon yet?
Thanks for the comment on 'hanging out for a meal' im not sure what the things are on the end of each stalk.. they may be sweet and sticky substance that attracts insects, or maybe just water droplets attached still after dew or rain. I wish i could tell you but i don't know much about the plant - i might get back to you on that.
I'm not sure if I can upload anything decent in about two weeks cause I'm very busy with my summerjob :( ..and my inspiration is gone too :( I'll try to find it somewhere.... maybe behind the couch....
Hello Nigel.....Thankyou for taking the time to have a look at (GORSE) and for your comments...its very much appreciated....I snapped this scene 15 times and this was the only decent one to upload .....All the best....Mick.
Thanks Nigel for your kind words on "Gamma Rays" I appreciate it and Im still learning to use it. Any chance you could teach me how to do the plastic rendering for Apophysis when you can as Im not sure oh how to do them as yet.

Nigel, thanks for looking at Red White 'n Blue and your comments. I appreciate it very much. This shot is completely pure, no manipulation. Rare to find such natural color on any given day. They don't call it "Colorful Colorado" for nothin'! anne :-)
Ty for commenting on Chaos [forgot the rest of the title i put on it]....About the contest, ha! Are you kidding!? Lol, I'll get whooped, unless apop magically comes up with some amazing render which could be blended with an image and some bryce.....i only enter constests that i have a 100% probability of winning. Btw, are you?
Thanks Nigel: I really appreciate your comment on my dream contest entry. It's my 5 year old daughter in the shot....and actually a daytime shot that I turned into night. A bit simplistic, but reminds me of dreams I have always had...:) Thanks again! Terri
Thanks for your kind words on "In the shadows they lurk". I''m now trying to make the next work more "unified". I mean that this last work was kind of putting a little of everything in the same pic and actually I did it because first it was quite crap but then it took some shape and finally I really had real good time hiding different things there :P with a messy image you can put things there and no one will never find them :P
Dragon Fly 4 was a little dragon fly that posed on a metal yard sculpture in my wifes flower bed. Thanks Nigel for the nice remarks. The key is to move slow and not scare them away.

Third, fourth (whice got nixed by Pirner), but that's all good.
Hi Nigel! Thanks for checking out, "Phantasms," and "The Magic of Dreams..." and for your kind words. Phantasms started out as flame in Apophysis and I took it to CS2 for that 'plastic' texture you mentioned. And in "The Magic of Dreams," it does now look like pouring water too me. Thanks for stopping by, always appreciate it! ~ Jen
So glad you feel into a High-speed Plummet when you saw my latest entry!! I hope it does well in the contest!! Thanks for falling by and your support!!

thanks Nigel for the posts on my new images - much appreciated - yeah the Tamron is just fine for the cash - although the more I use it the more I wish i'd bit the bullet and spent more on the Canon equivalent.
Thanks a lot for the continuing support & comments on my pics, its a real boost to know you will get feedback almost immediately after putting a picture on. Cheers - David

Thanks Nijel ! I'm glad you enjoyed the Geek mobile. They play that little commercial over and over in the store about the geek squad to the rescue. It really got annoying. But I liked their car.
Life's moments are sweet. I just want to capture all that I can of them.
My buddy Nigel got your weekend planned? Thanks buddy for those great words on "Aliens but I got ta tell ya Nigel I shouldn't have ta explain these to ya.lol
Guess who? naw you're wrong again Nigel, hah hah I kill myself sometimes anyway back to it, thanks buddy for takin' a peek at the "The Glass Clown" and I'm glad ya like it.

Heya Nigel Thanks for you kind words on "Dream Travelling" and I made this one dark as not all dreams are bright and I thing an out of body experience would be dark and a bit scary.

Hi Nigel! Thanks for the kind words on "Rainbow"!!! I was playing around with the values on Fan2 and Wave variations, and that's how I got the 'saw tooth' effect. I did a couple mutations until I noticed the effect and kept changing the values until it was more prominant. It just sort of happened! I was pleased with the result though, and I'm glad you liked it too!

No it isn't my first attempt but i have only done a couple as I don't have the patients yet for it properly but I am working on it. I thought I would give it another bash tonight and see how it goes and I like the image but I wanted to add some other things into the design but thought I will see how everyone else thinks of it. So do you think my art has improved some with the FTP as I have started to use my old fav PhotoshopCS2.
P.S. Thanks for your kind words

Very good eye, Nigel. I hadn't even noticed the white (blurred flower) to the right of Ms. Peach. Now that I see it, I'll have to do something about it. I try hard to shoot and keep them the way the lens sees it but this will have to be fixed! I shot this buggar in a garden area with hordes of other orchids so the white is probably a sister. Thanks for your careful viewing. I very much appreciate it! anne :-)

Hey Nigel, Thanks for your comments on "Royal Tapestry". This was made from scratch. No scripts were used or abused in the making of this fractal. I started with a new blank flame and used the julian and noise variations . Have fun!!

I appreciate your comments on "Merger" but I think I hate the border the more I see it. I actually started with a plain red just to give my "star" character some punch. Then I thought maybe It needed some enhancing. Now I think not. I shot during the day but it was in a dense rain forest so added some fill flash. Blessings, anne :-)

Hey there Nigel, thanks buddy for " Spaceport" a giant Cobra huh? You've got to get a grip Nigel.lol Just kiddin' bud and thanks I really do appreciate it.
Nige, thanks for the comments on "Kwhoooosh" I really wanted to get a curl shot from the water but I had a botched back surgery that left me with a very weak right ankle and I"m terrified of the waves now. I've been knocked over pretty hard and couldn't get back up and out of the water, for a real good scare. Now, I let everyone else enjoy the surge of surf while I shoot. I just love the colors of the water and sand over there. Amazing. anne :-)

PondLily Lovely - I was at the hotel Hale Koa in Waikiki and they had a lily pond in the courtyard. One morning while I was waiting for my husband, I wandered down there and squirreled around the edge of the pond until I got just the right shot. I actually shot four from different angles (all but in the pool!) but this was the best. I'm a real spaz and one of these days I hope I don't end up taking a dip with my Little Niko. It's an amazing natural phenomena when the petals are somewhat subdued color like this purple and the center is super bright. It looks like there's a light in the center. Forgive me for generic thank you to everyone but I got a whole slew of really kind comments about Sailing Ship that I hadn't expected.
