There's an emptiness inside her and she'd do anything to fill it in. Though it's red blood bleeding from her now, it's more like cold blue ice in her heart. She feels like kicking out all the windows and setting fire to this life. Hello, Melanie. I don't think we've met before, but I noticed your comment about my Blue Angel photo. I'm happy to hear that you like it. Although it is an exceptional example of New Orleans cemetery art, there are many lovely graves and statues sprinkled around New Orleans cemeteries. Some find cemeteries to be frightening, but I feel like I'm surrounded by old friends, and when I see the graceful statues I feel at peace.

Melanie, many thanks for your comment on Island Sunset. R.I. is only a few hours drive from Maine, so if you ever go there, be sure to take a camera. I almost missed this shot because I didn't have a camera with me. Furtunately I was able to run and get one before the sky faded.

Thank you Melanie for your comments on my posting It is a limb, yes". When I saw it, I thought it looked like an elephant limb. It is a large tree branch normally submerged on the edge of a lake. It made an effective, it not slighty alarming, picture. It is a limb, yes ... a tree limb! ;)
