Thank you for taking the time to comment on "Endless Chairs (Cropped)". I will definitely look into your suggestions and I appreciate the feedback! It didn't even occur to me to keep the two versions in the gallery for comparison. Thanks again and I'm glad you liked it :)
First off, thanks so much for the comment on "Fire at Will Babe"!!! I'm always excited to see that you have commented but when you go all that extra trouble, well yeah, WOWWWW!!!! I really like the second version you did!! I didn't even think to do highlights. I was in a bit of rush to upload the picture and after looking at it for so long I guess I kind zoned out. You versions are just awesome, 'specially the black and white one.
When I looked at my original image after reading your comment I was just like, I fail, so badly.
I used the background off CG Textures (thanks so much for reminding me!! Had to credit them. They have some awesome free textures up on it :D).
Thanks so much!! Yeah, I was trying to make my drawings more interesting because they were all on paper. Yeah I think I will have to reload the picture up, your versions look so much better!!!!! Aww tut tut
But most of all thanks for taking the time to go beyond a lovely comment, I am beyond flattered that your imagination was sparked by one of my pictures.
*hugs & cookies for YOUU >:C*

P.S Got any ideas of what you want me to draw you yet?
~ please visit my new website, it's got a lot of my drawings, 10min sketches, WIPS and more!! ~
It took me a long time to get back to you Les but I wanted to thank you for your thoughts on my picture "The Lid To The Box". I always appreciate your descriptive points as I do pay attention to them and they don't go unnoticed.Have a great day. Bruce B.
thanks Les - I'll try and get my mind around the luminosity tutorial - maybe earlier in the evening when my brain is still working (a little) lol! ...and yes agree the tones are a bit too rich - I have a problem with colours - I select proof colours so I can see what an image will look like when uploaded to Caedes but sometimes they do not quite turn out as expected and I was surprised it was so bright with this one!

Hi Les, thanks very much for your kind comments on "Broken"! They're much appreciated and I will be posting a couple more photos of the pier in the coming months :)

Thanks Les for the comments on my picture “Arial Lunch” Shooting these fast flying birds helps shake off the rust from not using the camera this past winter. And yes the camera was in one shot mode.

Thanks again Les for the comments on my picture Gull “Fish Story” For these gull shots I used a 400mm lens with the ISO high enough to keep the shutter speeds above 1/1500th. The Cameras focus was set to continuous (AI Servo for you Canon shooters) with an aperture of about F8.

Dear Les, many thanks for the comments on "Munnar - Kundala Dam 1" Its really appreciated :) I am completely agreeing to your suggestion.. The support and suggestions from friends like you are invaluable

Thank you Les for the nice comment on my "Killdeer" photo. The Egrets I was looking for have almost disapeared from the area so I had to settle on a small bird.

Thanks for the reference to Morat. His work is elegant and sublime. I've got a long way to go to equal him in photography though. He's very, very talented.
Les, Thanks for the comment on "Prison Row". Also thank you so much for suggestion, I'll keep that in mind. The tutorial is great and it's giving me a lot of ideas already. Thanks again, Adrienne
hey thanks for the comment. I really enjoy finding new and interesting things to shoot and compliments like that really help me out. I'm brand new to photography, previously sticking more to graphic design, so all of the advice I can get is really appreciated.
Thanks very much, Les, for your kind comment on "Pier Hut" and the congratulations you sent me for my upcoming convocation! It's greatly appreciated :)
Hi Les, your constructive critique has made me think, as well as helped me (hopefuly) take better pics. Thanks for taking the time to do so, much appreciated.
YAY!! Another comment : D. I love Green tooooo, that's why I put it in this piece. Hmm I have no idea, I know that the swing it's self is a bit too bold for the whole picture but I think maybe she is okay, I could have had her a bit lower. Thanks Les so much for the comment!! I love reading them cause you bring up ideas that I hadn't even thought about and of course how could I resist those Blueberry Cheesecake Crunch cookies ?

P.S Keep me posted on what you want in your drawing
Thanx for the kind words on In Honor, Les, it is apprecaited...vageries of the VB and all...

I got excited about how it looked and forgot the gradients in the eyes ill add it in, it kinda helped "stuff" i dont know the term for it but you catch my drift.
Thank you for all the help you pretty much made the picture, im not sure what you mean by black line on the inside. If you could clarify it'd be wonderful.
Ahh when I saw your comment I like jumped in my seat ( I was in computers at school ). Yay, you went to so much effort!! So thanks for that haha. Yes earning your cookies >:].
I get what you say, I think with the colours and the expression in her face the pose didn't need to be like it it, more subtle. I agree : D
Yeah that's awesome, when I was drawing I drew the hand with the intention of drawing some diamonds ( cause my friend loves them ) but when it came down to it, I knew it would look to out of place. So I had to fit the wand in with what I had, but if I had to draw it again I would definitely do that. Hmm, you always come up with things I hadn't even thought about!! Well with the direction, as I said if I could redo it, it would slope down to suit the feel of the picture.
Don't worry!! I love getting CC, it means that someone has taken the time to really look at my picture and think about it. Aw really?? The thumbnail was awesome?? YAY, I'll try to do that again : D
I like to think that I get better in every drawing haha, I only upload the best of my drawings here ( cause that's what you guys deserve ;D ). So thanks!! Yeah my friend went crazy when she saw it!! Haha thanks so much Les!!

P.S Here's some warm choc chip cookies, as welllllll with your picture ( that I have drafted a million times haha ) can you send me a message with some of your favourite bands/artists/singers and such? Thankss
Hi Les, thanks for your honest feedback on "Air Pelican". I wasn't sure about the border myself, I thought it needed something but obviously I gave it a bit too much. I guess les really is more:) Cheers mate, Kelcey.
Thanks for your comment on 'Clementines Disassembled'... I was not really sure whether to post that or not but I decided that I liked it.

only an 8 Les? lol! I think it is worth less and I know you are kidding! :P
....thanks for the critique and I agree the sky needs some work and now I look at the image, I think I should have spent a little more time on it. I am going to have a go at following the tutorial to see how I can change the image. I have all kinds of ways of changing areas of a photograph, using levels, curves and selecting areas and changing them, but none of them are likely to be the best ways - just trial and error really. I use CS2 and I think the RAW converter controls are slightly different but I am sure I will work it out. Thanks for taking the time and no criticism intended when I say you think too much - I wish I had your analytical brain sometimes. ;)

Thank you Les for the nice comment on "Green frog on the water",it is really appreciated.Thank you for the idea too, unfortunately it is the only view i could have,i was higher than the frog and i could not do otherwise.Have a nice thursday.
Les, "Ablaze With Color" was taken quite some time back. I can't even find the Raw file which would giver me all the shooting info. I'm fairly certain I took it with the Canon 40D and the canon 16-35mm. I never use the program scene modes. I almost always have my cameras set in the Landscape mode in the camera settings and almost always on Daylight for white balance. I often shoot at ISO 400. i have to agree about a lack of detail in the tree line however, I don't see the sky as noisy or the field as contrasty. But we all see things differently. I know where this field is and I will definitely go back armed with a Canon 5D Mark II which I'm sure will make a difference. However, to catch the field in all this color I will have to wait till spring. Thks for stopping by.

Hello Les, thanks for reviewing my picture Sun Down your comments are greatly appreciated. I totally agree about the halo effect and I guess it was caused by pushing the exposure in raw, I just wish I could have tamed it a bit but never the less its all about learning.
Thanks for taking the time to comment.
All comments good and bad welcomed.
(*wags finger*) ... Now YOU listen to me, young man, there will be NO, I repeat, NO .. didya hear me? .. I said NO Canada Day festivities for YOU this year, and maybe other years too, I haven't decided ... and we'll show your picture at all hockey games with a Herpes simplex 9 sticker ... and we've already stuck a "kick me" sign on your back, from last time
Only YOU can stop this from going too far .. eh, provided we haven't already gone too far .. only time will tell
It's been a long, long time since I left a comment on your home page .... like in a gazillion weeks, months ...
Thank you for your thoughts on "Crossings" & for also "Bluebird & Blossoms". I do appreciate your suggestions ... many times I go back to one of my images you commented on to reread what you said before I start edting an image. Really I do. :-)
Most of all I'm glad you enjoyed them both & do appreciate you taking the time to give your constructive thoughts.

Lol, lol, paint scraper you say ? I laughed like hell Les because I debated on removing that chip, but decided to leave it natural. On the other hand, thanx for the tip on the burn, I'll take a run at it tommorrow for my own personal education. It was only her second shoot as a model ever and deserved a far better Photographer than I !

The Maze is a colorful but pretty desolate place. Wander off and get lost in the back country with no water and the only thing they would find is your skeleton. Thanks for your friendly comment Les and glad to see you back!
Oh it's really nothing if you zoom in normal it looks like one piece of petrified wood is balanced on top of another but if you zoom larger you can see they are just laying side by side. It's sort of what I call a tease, you are the first person who has ever looked or asked about it. Thanks for stopping by the Badlands
Thank you so much for your compliments on "the longing" i really hope i inspired you! its sooo good to get comments from good artists like yourself! i put my finger over my belt when i brought up the photo again and sure enough, i agree. i think NO belt would have been wonderous. like you said, less would have been more! so thank you! it was a wonderful compliment and it helps me become a better photographer, plus it makes me wanna go out and shoot some more!!!! i cant wait to see what you will have in store for your gallery next, ill be stopping by!
Hello Les.....Many thanks for taking the time to have a look at (SCOTTISH HIGHLANDER)and for your comments, they are very much appreciated....This lad lives in a field with his herd which is only a 5 minute drive from where I live......Thankyou again.....All the best to you Les....................Mick.
Les, I'm glad you enjoyed "Let There Be Light", and of course I had to gift it to you-- you sent me the link! I've really been enjoying myself with that version, and can't thank you enough for it. I'm still working on that other little thing you sent, and think you might like it whe I get done what I'm trying to do.
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to leave me such a nice comment!

Thank you so very much for your comments left for Orange. I do try and follow your comments on other images to get an idea of the correct "critique" and what you see within an image. For you to leave the words you did was an absolute honor to me. Thanks again and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Les! Thanks for the thought provoking words on ~smokey mountains~. The image will never do the view seen with the human eye justice, but I sure tried *wink*.
I am going to be busy w/ my mother in law...if you would like to rework the image, you have full permission to do so. I know that sometimes that is how you 'create', so create away! :o)
Thanks for taking time to explain and link me to cool stuff too!
Have a great weekend :=)
Hi Les,
thank you for your comment on my "Chestnut Alley".

And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
I used a Canon 400D and a Canon EF-S 60mm Macro Lens. f/2.8 1/2000 ISO 400. The only Photoshop filter I used was sharpen and to resize it to 3200. So I'm very happy with it.
Hi Les. thank you so much for the comment on "I'm watching you" I see what you mean with the colour. I've played around with the colours a bit and it's looking much beter. I might do a repost of it later.
I don't have a big camera. I use a little Kodak Easyshare DX7590.
Thanx again for the help and the comment.

Hihi Les,
Like a cookie? I have the finest in town hehe. Thanks for your comment on 'Rocks at a Bay'. Haha I gave it to my dad for Fathers Day - so not sure where it is now lols. I painted it on wood.
My sincerest apologies for taking so long to write this Les (I've been incredibly ill) but thankyou for your lovely message about my orange pic, it definitely made me feel better:)
Thank you for your constructive critisizm. Finally. All I've ever recieved in my work is little feedback for anything less than impressive, and positive feed back for the rest, when infact I just need a critical eye. Thanks again for the tips, especially from "Liquid Dreams".
Thank you Les for you critique on Autumn of our Lives. You are right now that I look at it...Maybe it could be a tad lighter without losing the mood set forth. Great set of eyes you have there my friend. Thanks again and feel free to stop by anytime.

Hello Les thanks for taking the time to comment on my picture rock pool, I agree with your comments though a pair of waders or a row boat may have helped compose the shot better, saying that I do think I could have improved the shot with slightly better cropping. An I like your idea of loosing the sky altogether. Really gaining a lot from the posters on this forum keep up the good work. Bri
Thanks for taking the time to comment.
All comments good and bad welcomed.
Hi Les-
Thanks so much for commenting on Wonderland. Yes, I know what you're talking about- in fact, I was anticipating someone bringing up the light/exposure... I agree, I think it detracts a certain something from the photo... Unfortunately, it's been pretty chilly, and I've been bad about going out to the trail to take more pictures.
Once again though, thanks for all the critiques! I appreciate it.

"Do you see any Teletubbies in here? Do you see a slender plastic tag clipped to my shirt with my name printed on it? Do you see a little Asian child with a blank expression on his face sitting outside on a mechanical helicopter that shakes when you put quarters in it? No? Well, that's what you see at a toy store. And you must think you're in a toy store, because you're here shopping for an infant named Jeb."
After you commented on 'Sage Lady,' I gained a reinforcement for my suspicion regarding the high quality and maturity of thee Caedes site. Thank you for that reinforcement. It is encouraging, as well as helpful and cheering.
Many thanks for the careful critiquing and considerate welcome.
