Hello Les.....Many thanks for taking the time to have a look at (SCOTTISH HIGHLANDER)and for your comments, they are very much appreciated....This lad lives in a field with his herd which is only a 5 minute drive from where I live......Thankyou again.....All the best to you Les....................Mick.
Les, I'm glad you enjoyed "Let There Be Light", and of course I had to gift it to you-- you sent me the link! I've really been enjoying myself with that version, and can't thank you enough for it. I'm still working on that other little thing you sent, and think you might like it whe I get done what I'm trying to do.
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to leave me such a nice comment!

Thank you so very much for your comments left for Orange. I do try and follow your comments on other images to get an idea of the correct "critique" and what you see within an image. For you to leave the words you did was an absolute honor to me. Thanks again and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Les! Thanks for the thought provoking words on ~smokey mountains~. The image will never do the view seen with the human eye justice, but I sure tried *wink*.
I am going to be busy w/ my mother in law...if you would like to rework the image, you have full permission to do so. I know that sometimes that is how you 'create', so create away! :o)
Thanks for taking time to explain and link me to cool stuff too!
Have a great weekend :=)
Hi Les,
thank you for your comment on my "Chestnut Alley".

And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
I used a Canon 400D and a Canon EF-S 60mm Macro Lens. f/2.8 1/2000 ISO 400. The only Photoshop filter I used was sharpen and to resize it to 3200. So I'm very happy with it.
Hi Les. thank you so much for the comment on "I'm watching you" I see what you mean with the colour. I've played around with the colours a bit and it's looking much beter. I might do a repost of it later.
I don't have a big camera. I use a little Kodak Easyshare DX7590.
Thanx again for the help and the comment.

Hihi Les,
Like a cookie? I have the finest in town hehe. Thanks for your comment on 'Rocks at a Bay'. Haha I gave it to my dad for Fathers Day - so not sure where it is now lols. I painted it on wood.
My sincerest apologies for taking so long to write this Les (I've been incredibly ill) but thankyou for your lovely message about my orange pic, it definitely made me feel better:)
Thank you for your constructive critisizm. Finally. All I've ever recieved in my work is little feedback for anything less than impressive, and positive feed back for the rest, when infact I just need a critical eye. Thanks again for the tips, especially from "Liquid Dreams".
Thank you Les for you critique on Autumn of our Lives. You are right now that I look at it...Maybe it could be a tad lighter without losing the mood set forth. Great set of eyes you have there my friend. Thanks again and feel free to stop by anytime.

Hello Les thanks for taking the time to comment on my picture rock pool, I agree with your comments though a pair of waders or a row boat may have helped compose the shot better, saying that I do think I could have improved the shot with slightly better cropping. An I like your idea of loosing the sky altogether. Really gaining a lot from the posters on this forum keep up the good work. Bri
Thanks for taking the time to comment.
All comments good and bad welcomed.
Hi Les-
Thanks so much for commenting on Wonderland. Yes, I know what you're talking about- in fact, I was anticipating someone bringing up the light/exposure... I agree, I think it detracts a certain something from the photo... Unfortunately, it's been pretty chilly, and I've been bad about going out to the trail to take more pictures.
Once again though, thanks for all the critiques! I appreciate it.

"Do you see any Teletubbies in here? Do you see a slender plastic tag clipped to my shirt with my name printed on it? Do you see a little Asian child with a blank expression on his face sitting outside on a mechanical helicopter that shakes when you put quarters in it? No? Well, that's what you see at a toy store. And you must think you're in a toy store, because you're here shopping for an infant named Jeb."
After you commented on 'Sage Lady,' I gained a reinforcement for my suspicion regarding the high quality and maturity of thee Caedes site. Thank you for that reinforcement. It is encouraging, as well as helpful and cheering.
Many thanks for the careful critiquing and considerate welcome.
Hello Les,
Thank you very much for your congratulations on the occasion that I've become 'Featured Artist' in November 2009.
Your nice words are higly appreciated by me.
Regards, Cornelius.
Cornelius was here either to enjoy your image or say 'thank you' for your interest in my gallery. In the first case, please CLICK HERE to see my work!
Thank you kindly for your support on the other half of my rainbow, I'm sadly losing the contest right now, if you would be able to pass the word along to some other people and ask them to vote I would really appreciate it.

On the assumption that you great-white-northerners use the same calendar that we use in the lower 48 .. tomorrow would be December .. oh, I'm sorry, you guys have all that extra OU nonsense .. (*clears throat*) .. Decembour 3rd, a date equivalent to Canada Day, I've heard

Les, thanks for the input on 'Compressed Air.' I'll have to try messing with it as you suggested and resubmitting a Black and White version. I appreciate your feedback! :)
Inner Drive Excellent Les. I had to look hard to see it at first, but when I saw the difference I loved it! The technique you used added just the right kick to the shadowy details. Like adding a selective edge sharpening with contrast and brightness. Thanks for the comments and rework. Very cool.
good morning Les
I very much appreciated yout comments on “The twins”. Thank you. No post-processing done - i work off raw, so what is there is from that after initial processing process. the quality of the light that day, combined with my eye as i pre-processed, will both have contributed to that quality you liked.

Thank you so much for your most generous comments on Ambrosia and Nectar ! I'm delighted that it caught your attention and that you took the time to comment.
I would have to agree that the lacy elements of the spiral could be brought out more, but the other possible colour options didn't look as good, so I thought the remaining elements would compensate for that.
As to the version of Tierazon I'm currently using... it's v29. Let me know if you are unable to find it.
Thanks again my friend =D

Thanks much dear Les your comments on my upload Petronas Twin Towers - Malaysia; I have done some post processing in this image to increase the overall sharpness.

Hey Les, Thanks much for your comment / critique on Under The Sea. The bubbles? ... they were created with a filter effect that came with PSP X2. I have control over the variation in size & the amount of bubbles. Unfortunately I have no control over where the bubbles end up on the image. I played with it until I felt like I was having bubbles coming out of my ears. I have a few more Apop render's similar to this one, so shall see what I can come up with. Again, thanks for your input & I'm very pleased you enjoyed it.
Thank you for your comment on "Daisy". I hope your doing well Les! :) Missed ya!

Hey just wanted to thank you for looking at all of my stuff....It seems you've been tracking my stuff over the past two years and I really appreciate it..so thanks!
Hey Les :) thanks for the comment on 'Dietary Chains'!
No worries :) maybe a revisit is in order.

Hi,
thank you for your comment on my photo "Redolent of Passing"!

It is known that there is an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the product of a deranged imagination.
Thank you Les,wonderful comment and useful suggestions on
"Village river" are greatly appreciated. And I prefer "Less
foreground" which seems to be more attractive!
Thanking you once again for your honest feedback.
Thank you, Les, for your comments on "Into Jars," but I feel you were too kind! I merely pointed my camera into my sink while washing some jars and took a few shots, so I can hardly take credit for the colouration or lighting that resulted. I truly do appreciate you stopping by and pointing out some things that I certainly didn't notice. Thanks again! :)
Thanks Les. Glad to be back. I think im going to try to stay active again. I really enjoy being around Caedes. I look forward to your always constructing comments. Thanks And hope to see you around.
Hi Les, Thank you for your visit and beautiful comments on Grace In Flight ! I also noticed you faved "Tickling the Ivories". Much appreciated my friend, and I hope your weekend is off to a good, good start! :)

First off, don't think I haven't forgotten about that thing I said I would do. I've tried to make it many many times and I also end up throwing it away :(
Thanks for your comment on 'care for some tea?' I always know if I have done something well, it's because of your comment :)
Thank you Les for the comment on "Herring gulls in sunlight",it is very appreciated, thank you for adding it to your favorites list too,it is really nice of you.Have a good week.
Ref: The Horse Farm and your epistle on same (snicker)
Remember, I can't walk any distance at all. (97 per cent of my shots are taken from my car. I was attracted by the red barns and white fence, not so much the horse. The orginal image was titled so I had straightened it. If it still looked tilted to you, I would say it was the lay of the land. Nothing wrong with your crop. I like it. Most photographers are guilty of trying to include too much in an image and perhaps thats what I did. But, each to their own. Thanks for responding.
Hello Les
You are always welcome to "jump onto my image's page" lol
I did clone one very small portion of the flower where an aphid sat on the petal. While I could have left him there....I only wanted the flower for this post....so I removed him.
Other than cropping a little closer I did very little to this post.
Thanks so much for stopping in to view Wrapped in Elegance. I really do appreciate it.

Get Closer Thanks for the complements Les! I do admit the last one is a bit drastic, but that is the point :0) I did think to make a tutorial, but it is just to simple to make that complicated. Oh well...
Awesome comment on my Devils mill picture. Thats exactly the kind of help I was looking for. I was very concious not to over do it and have it lookng too computer gamey.
Thank you very much for your comments on "Home Away From Home". I try to spend as much time as possible there ... well every chance I get. This part of the river is somewhat isolated & is very quiet depending on the time of day. Glad you enjoyed it & I appreciate the fave as well as the vote.
Thank you for your comment on "windows" and I wish that a lot of new windows to see the world can be open during the week through your wonderful work, another kind of windows that I enjoy so much!
Hi Les ! Thanks for dropping by & commenting on Toile de Jouy. I appreciated your assessment of it & I'm really happy you enjoyed it. You know, it's funny though, I almost uploaded "Metal Sculpture". Maybe next time. :o) Anyway, thanks again for dropping by & commenting, much appreciated hon. *hugs*

Les, I appreciate your comments on "Eyes of a Peacock." I'm just getting started so it's great to hear some constructive criticism. Otherwise it's hard to know which direction I'm heading with the quality of my photos. Thanks a bunch, have a good rest of the week.
Hello Les,
thank you so much for the very kind words on "Windy spring day", and for the link to the video tutorial. I appreciate your
advice. I am now reworking the image trying to get a different result. If I like it I will upload it again to get your and others opinions. It is always interesting to hear what people think. Thank´s again!
Hi Les
Sorry I'm a bit late thanking you for your criticism on my painting. I actually saw it a couple days ago, and it's been on my mental to do list to get back to you. As always, I really appreciate any kind of criticism, especially the type that honestly makes me stop and think about my art (if you can call it that ;]). You're right about taking most of my time on the grassy parts of the field. As it was for a class, I had to get it done by a certain date. Unfortunately, this really limited my time on the sky. Anyway, now that I've really looked at the painting with fresh eyes (I'd almost forgotten about it, actually) I agree that the dark doesn't really flow with the rest of the piece. I've found that that sort of consistency is one of my biggest problems. Sorry, I don't mean to ramble. As always, thanks for any and all criticism you toss my way.

Thank you for taking the time to critique my "Easter Eggs" picture. I'll keep that in mind about softening the reflections next time. I've learned a lot already on this site, and hope to improve a lot more!

Hi Les, glad you liked my photo "One more Mockingbird" I did sharpen it a bit, but I only have free software I use. The original title was to long I guess. A strange tune by Pink Floyd.
