Thanks for commenting on Pink Petals. I too think it should have a little more sharpness, but I couldn't change that (I took the photo about a year ago). I really had fun editing that pic.

Thanks. I posted this as a reminder of a time when our country was appreciated of its efforts rather than vilified for its accomplishments. The moon shot was another time when we beat a sword into a plowshare.

You are most welcome. This turned out to be day that I realized I should have lugged the EOS. Mama-san wanted to shop for Poland's famous leaded crystal. Being the pack mule....

The city has influences from Genghis Khan through the Polish-Ukrainian Empire as well as more modern influences of eastern and western Europe. Even in the Soviet bloc years, Poland was always neat and clean, taking pains to preserve their heritage. There's almost 11 centuries of architecture there.

The town market is about a mile long. The southern end has some serious lighting issues at the time of day we were there as well a mob of street vendors.

Thanks for dropping by.

Thank you, Dave. I remember leaving the point to drive back down East Rim Drive to get this shot because the sun was so low. If you get the chance to take a photo from Mathers Point, I'd advise waiting until after 10am.

Hi, Dave. Thanks for dropping by.

I tried to coax him into a profile, but he had a mind of his own. The high for today was about 60. The cool temperature greatly reduced his metabolism. This is the first time I have photographed one less than a foot away. As he warmed up, he got hyper and hid in the parsley. I haven't checked on his whereabouts. Just so he doesn't get to the lemon tree.

They are notorious for taking a bite out of a young citrus fruit, then move on to another, leaving a marred fruit behind.

I almost wish that he could talk. Notices that he has no hind feet. Whether he left them in his pupa at emergence or lost them some other way is a mystery.
