Thanks a lot John, for your kind comments on "Prince" and "Golden Gate"! For the latter, I drove across the bridge towards Sausalito; there's a sharp curve just about 1 km past the bridge, the road then takes you under the bridge to the other side where it winds up the hills. There, you have some breath-taking views of the bridge and the downtown. For some curious reason, few tourists seem to know about this spot, hence the paucity of images from this angle. I'm glad you like it!

Nou ik ben voorlopig even uitgeblust, en doe het een tijdje
rustig aan, zoals je ongetwijfeld wel gemerkt hebt!---
Denk dat die tijd voor mij ook snel zal aanbreken John. Kan nog steeds niet beschikken over de foto's op één van mijn gecrashte externe harde schijven, dus mijn dunne voorraad raakt snel op. Daarbij komt dat het weer ook niet aantrekkelijk is om er op uit te trekken. Denk verder dat ik rond de komende feestdagen niet of weinig aan Caedes zal toekomen omdat mijn (schoon)kinderen en kleinkinderen komen logeren. Hoewel mijn (schoon)kinderen me veel werk uit handen nemen, wordt het voor mij toch een zeer drukke, maar ook ongelooflijk fijne, tijd. Mijn vrouw en ik zien er erg naar uit.

Mijn standpuntinname (voor zover je dit bedoelt) is over het algemeen gematigd te noemen. Dit behoedt me in veel gevallen (uitzonderingen daar gelaten) voor uitglijders. Letterlijk over 'uitglijden' gesproken: heb tijdens mijn wintertochten heel wat moeten afzien. Maar niet geklaagd, want het heeft in mijn optiek fraaie plaatjes opgeleverd en daar gaat het ons toch om.

Ik heb, zonder aan mijn recente foto's een kwalificatie te verbinden, wel eens eerder tegen je gezegd John dat mooie plaatjes goed verkopen en goede foto's vaak jammer genoeg niet.
Blijf, met de gedachte in het achterhoofd dat ook deze serie eindig is, wel met beide benen op de grond staan.
Dat moet je als nuchtere Groninger wel vertrouwd in de oren klinken.

werkelijk een aantal weken voor op Groningen?---
Hallo John, ik weet dat we in Zeeland vaak met bepaalde zaken voorop lopen (LOL!!!) maar dat hoeft niet persé zo hardop gezegd te worden. De natuur laat zich echter niet dwingen.
Mijn 'spring is in the air 1' opname heb ik een paar dagen geleden opgenomen, terwijl #2 uit de 'schoenendoos' komt.
Had door allerlei oorzaken geen recente bewerkte opnames meer paraat, vandaar! Heb je al eens eerder laten weten dat ik besloten heb om niet meer te vermelden dat een foto uit de schoendoos komt omdat beaalde personen dan last van een zweetvoetengeur schijnen te krijgen.
Goed opgemerkt weer vriend!

John, I would highly recommend the Canon 50D. I find myself reaching for that camera as much, if not more than my Canon 5D Mark II. Keep in mind something however, I use good lenses with my cameras. That is as much a factor in getting good images as the camera is. Thks for stopping by "Hibiscus Supreme".

Fall is the best time of year in these parts, the haze, heat and humidity of summer are gone...plenty of days with brilliant blue sunny skies and mild temperatures. But the thing I like best is the winters are fairly mild..usually only a couple of inches of snow all season

And my many thanks for your positve comments on "aaahhhhhh!!! Lunch !!!". A creature we all treat with respect (and our tourists seem to treat with fear, for some reason I cannot yet fathom (grinning)).
Many years ago I visited Steve Irwin's zoo in southeast Queensland, and he had a monster there - truly huge; years old.
