Thanks for your kind comment on my wombat image. Even though this image has a low c-index, I really have a soft spot for this little fellow - we saw him at a zoo in Queensland, and although he had a huge area to move around in, etc, he still still seemed a little melancholy. He wandered towards us and we just stood there for a bit I and got this shot. They are quite big, about the size of a small dog (- ie corgi?) but they are about 10 times heavier. Cute, but not particularly cuddly! Thanks again, I'm glad you like him too!

Tks Brett for taking the time to view my pic. White Wilds was taken on a gloomy day and I don't think I got many shots of those flowers to choose from. I have been struggling with the clairity vs soft look as well as macro shots with the blurred backgrounds and have yet to find the perfect medium for some shots.

Thanks for the comment of forest pathway. I actually know my camera very well, there isnt much to know. I have a 1.3 MP digital camera with no adjustable settings other than macro/landscape and white balance...

Either way, the original image was much sharper, I added (intentional) blurs and ghosting to enhance the overall mood of the image.

Thanks for the visit at 'something in black and white' I don't usually use B/W because i feel that these people lived their lives in color. But there was something about the clapboard siding and tree shadows in that one. I had both cameras loaded and took the same shot in color and it didn't work as well.

thanks Brett for your input on Leaf Litter 3. i'd agree with you that dead plants arent the most dynamic subject matter but all 3 shots were intended as more of a texture for the desktop rather than a specific subject matter. I think a lot of people missed the point on that one but thats just the way it goes. I will try that effect on something else soon - just got to pick the right crowd pleaser :-)
