All By Myself Uploaded: 09/07/06 4:25 AM GMT

Image: All By Myself

This is another picture from my backpacking trip to Mt. Adams, in Washington. My dad, sis and I had the entire lake to ourselves, and we got this capture on one of our "exploration" hikes around camp. Feel free to critique me--I want to become better at taking pictures. Also please tell me if you think our tent ruins the picture-I feel too lazy to find out how to remove it right now. Thanks to the commentors!

Hi Steen,

thank you for your nice comment on "Summernight Lightning". You are right, I was in the right place at the right time. This picture was taken from my balcony only a few minutes after I got home from a ride on my motorcycle. I managed to stay dry and sure was happy to make it home safe before that thunderstorm rolled in.

Thank you once again, your words are very appreciated.

Good morning, Justine,

Just wanted to say thanks a million for your positive reaction and feedback about 'Knarled Old Tree'. I really appreciates your making time to comment on it. It's growing in the grounds of a very old country house in the middle of the Pennine moors in NE England, and I've since discovered it's been there for several centuries. Isn't nasture amazing?!
