Thanks Susanlynn for the nice comment on "The Great Escape" Make sure you check out the rework of this photo by, Piner, LynEve, ppigeon and twinkle. It is amazing how much they all improved the photo of the Hawk in flight.

Hi thank you for commenting on Black Bridge 2. In response to your query upon closer inspection the white circle appears to have been a warning sign long ago. Warning unsafe to climb structure.

And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
Thank you for viewing and commenting on "Together"! The reason you see doves in pairs is that they mate for life! If something happens to one of them they never pair up again!! :) Steve
Hi Susanlyn, glad you enjoyed my Egret photo "Leaving Missouri" I was there today and they are still around along with the Herons. Thank you for the comment.

Thanks for the comment on "She turned me into a Newt". The posing wasn't too difficult as the weather has been cooling. So these little guys weren't moving too quickly. Glad you liked it.
Hi, Susanlynn. Thanks for the comment on "Don't Fence Me In". Much appreciated. Chances are they were twins, but there were two does nearby, so hard to tell. You can have them if you want them, getting them across the border might be kinda hard though.:)
Thanks also for the comment on "Frosty Morning". Chill in the air is one way to explain it. Those trees weren't so impressive up close. Glad you liked it.
And finally thanks for your comments on "Paintbox". I did think about cropping the photo, maybe I'll do that for the back of the box.

Hi Susan. Thanks for the comments on "Not My Cat", glad you liked it. And yes, he/she was sticking its tongue out at me. The leaves belong to some sort of climbing vine that has gone wild in the yard spreading everywhere.
I just realized I never thanked you for your kind words on "Honeyrun Covered Bridge." The Caedes community, I am coming to find, is wonderfully supportive, and your response typified that tendency. Many thanks!
Thanks Susan for the nice comments on Bone-Yard. I did get a closeup of the truck. I will post it sometime. I might wait until we get a snowstorm and get a photo then. I think that would be cool.
Happy Thanksgiving and I will visit the site you suggested.

Good day Susanlynn. Thanks for your comments on "Getting the Tree". Glad you enjoyed it. Someone gonna have to get after the boy for leaving the barn door open like that. Have a nice day. ~Wendell
Thanks Susanlynn for commenting on another of my Gull pictures “Cold Fish Again” Crawling down the rocks with a camera and big lens was the biggest challenge of this shoot.
Hi Susanlynn, Thank you ever so much for your visit and generous comments on Unidentified ! You made my day!! I'm so pleased you liked it, and took the time to tell me :)

Yes, the snow people actually are frosted glass :)
Not enough snow here in Athens Alabama for building snowmen, it may have snowed an inch, I peaked out the window once early in the morning. By the time I got out of bed it was all gone except in the shady spots :0(
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to ya!

Thanks Susanlynn..Little Robbie takes some snapping. For a bird that's supposed to be bold ,He's pretty shy.It may be due to all the cats around here..R.

Hi Susanlynn. Thanks for your comments on "Normal College" ,glad you liked it. The museum is in an adjacent building, I'll try and get a shot of it and post it some time. So when can we expect to see a new image from you? Have a grand day.

Good evening Susanlynn. Thanks very much for faving the image and your kind comments on "Ice Falls". Glad you enjoyed it. My intention was to show the falls in context with its surroundings, and glad to see you liked it. But I wish I had noticed the glare on the roof before I'd posted it, I'd have removed it during the editing stage.
As for the temperatures, it's dropped down to -10C (and colder) on some nights recently. But the days aren't nearly as bad; as long as there is no wind it can be quite comfortable.
Have a nice day my friend and stay comfortable, Wendell.

Hi Susanlynn. Thanks for your comments on "Ice Falls 2". Glad you liked it. I like the other version for the same reasons. The stream was frozen for most of its length with small little pools like that in places.

Thanks for the nice comments on Why I Golf II, Susanlynn. I am sorry to hear you are losing a golf course. What was the name and where was it. I might google it.

Hi Susanlynn. Thanks for your comments on "Winter '05". Glad you enjoyed it. You mean I could have joined the two photos together using the computer and I didn't have to line them up and re-photograph them? LOL It's even more fun photo-stitching 15+ images together to create a panorama or 360 degree shots. Have a nice day and enjoy yourself. ~Wendell

Hi Susanlynn. Thanks for your comments on "Lunchtime Crowd". Much appreciated and glad you liked it. Would you believe the birdhouse shrunk in the snow? Have a nice day. ~Wendell

Thank you for taking the time to comment on Home. I'm glad you liked it. I do love it outdoors and anytime I get the chance I leave with camera in hand to try and hunt down that one great shot. Have a great day.

Thanks for your comments on Ward Stone Wall. I hope you found the garden. I got to thinking if you were looking for the real "Ward Stone Garden" it doesn't exist. It's simply my name for the image. Ward is a real town northest of Boulder, CO, on the way to Brainard Lake. I stumbled onto the place after a sunrise shoot at the lake and then scored when it turned into a rainy, overcast day perfect for capturing the rich colors of stones and wildflowers. It was one of those days I went home exhausted and smiling. anne :-)
Tell me if you like it or don't but be sure to tell me why! I promise to always give honest and sincere (albeit gentle when necessary) critiques. MY NEW YEARS TIP for all, go have some fun with your new gear you got for Christmas. Do some things you rarely or never do. If you always shoot scenics, go shoot macros (or as close up as you can get.) Practice on different subjects, try new lighting techniques, bracket your shots (shoot the same image at different exposures and different apertures), get down low and shoot from your back, your belly, and your knees. Bend, twist, lean and climb up on things. Shoot toward the sky (carefully - blown out sunlight is NOT attractive :-) Just do something different and amaze yourself then share with us :-) Love you Caedians.

Hi Susanlynn, thanks for adding "Theodore Too" to your faves, and for your comments. Glad you enjoyed the view. I wasn't sure if I wanted to post this shot or one where it's closer to the lighthouse. I thought this one had a better composition. Have a great day my friend and take care, ~Wendell
