Hey Russel, thanks for the multiple comments on my work, it's really nice when someone goes through lots of images and still takes the time to comment, I really appreciate it!
Hi Russell and thanks for checking my picture "Reflections" seems to be quite popular according to the c-index. You never know whats going to score well, the stuff I like doesn't do so well and the stuff I think is average scores high.
Thanks Russel for the comments on "Old Pier".I know that the thing floating looks like a bottle but it is actually a lobster trap marker.I agree with you and I certainly should have removed it anyway. Thanks again for the input..Rob
Hello Russ....Many many thanks for your comments on (SHADOWS) they are very much appreciated. It was the shadows that inspired me to capture the shot...Down here in Cornwall the scenery is so beautiful that one is spoiled for choice when it comes to photography..Thanks again..All the best...Mick.
Tiny Petals....... Hi Russell. Thanks for viewing, and your comments. Always, much appreciated. Sorry you didn't like it. Even a twig is huge, compared to those little flowers, but I did leave a broad leaf,at the end of the twig, for a ride back into the subject.
Regards.
Doug.
Hello Russell. Thank you for your words of approval at “Willy”. These amazing birds perform amazing twists and turns as they chase little insects for their supper.
Thanks Russell for your comments on “Big Bird Goes Fishing” I think it was shot with a 100-400 zoom at about 400. I know how hard it is to sneek up on these guys so most of my pictures are of them flying away.
on chesapeake sunset you are so right about the antenna. with all the adjustments i do make.....why would i feel guilty taking the antenna out ?? i also liked the metallic look but never could find that word in my brain. thanks so much for your input. jen
Thanks for your very kind comment on "Outside the box" Russell - I was trying to get a "painted" feel with this one so I'm glad that's what you saw in it :-)
Dear Russell,
while thanking you so much for your appreciation of 'lilac at night' I feel obliged to tell you that one thing that Boris can hardly ever do is to escape at night as he is usually on a leash - for safety sake ... LOL
Thanks once again and best regards and kisses from Boris [sloppy and accompanied or preceded by a jump on your chest - 45 kg plus momentum LOL]
You OK, dear friend ? If you survived this experience with Boo-boo, you will be able to face all the world's worst atrocities and trials.
LOL
Green Door .... I wish I could remember why, but I never, ever cut anything out, without a good reason. Could have been an outside light I didn't like. Back then, I wouldn't shoot anything that had power lines showing. Thanks for stopping by. Much appreciated.
Thanks Russ for commenting on “Atlas” This guy is as big as my hand requiring me to backup to get all of him in the frame. Check out my Orchid pics most people think they suck.
Thanks for viewing "Lake Bled, Slovenia", Russel. I obtained the image by having a thumb drive in my pocket while watching a presentation. I have a copy on which I've already burned out the twig... Maybe I post that, too... I'll pass the "flowers" along to the author, and thanks again!
thanks for stopping by and leaving such a great commetn on "rain collector" i reallt appreciate it! glad you enjoyed it, and good luck with your shots, i hope they turn out and am looking forward to seeing them! ~abby
thanks again, this time for you comment on "hidden Secret". haha yes more water dropplets, it had rained the night before and I managed to get out in the morning to take all these last few shots. It really is tough to get a good angle on lily of the valleys since they are so low to the ground and burried in so many large leaves. but i will try when they bloom again next year! thanks again! ~abby
thanks for your comment on "columbine" haha yeah they actually do taste good. you dont so much eat them, you pull the little ball off one of the "cones" and you suck on it. its very sweet, like honey almost (except lighter). haha I doubt that the colors are different flavors, too bad really. but i have never tried (or even seen) the purple ones. thanks again! ~abby
Hello Russell, thanks very much for the kind comments on "Floating Beauty"... as a matter of fact, we recently cleaned the bird bath out :)

Thanks Russell for your comments and support on my picture “Natures Camouflage” It was taken on one of my first trips to the butterfly house and still remains one of my favorites.
thanks for your comment on my pink poppy. I think I actually prefer the light pink ones, but the bright red ones are fun. I have some pictures of those as well, they didnt turn out the best but I think I can fix them up a little so maybe I will post some in the next few days. thanks again, glad you liked it! ~abby
hi again! thanks so much for your comment on my Good things come in pairs post! haha yep the fly was a great addition, and the sun was incredible that day. also, thanks so much for your very kind comment on my Dreamy Blossoms post! and nope, there was no manipulation done (to be honest I dont know how to do anything other than sharpen things and increase contrast). that was just how I found it. thanks so much for all your support!!!! ~abby
Hm, you must be one of those with the 16 x 9 ratio monitor. Thanks for visiting and commenting on "Kwhoooooooosh!" I could do a wider screen version, but then what about the rest whose image would be chopped off on the ends? Can't Caedes do something about that...?? Just kidding. Alas, can't be everything to everyone but I appreciate the insight. Blessings, anne :-)
Hey Dave, I put my hand over the bottom of "Kwhoooooooosh!" to see what your suggestion would look like and I like it. I might mess around a bit and uplaod another later. Thanks for the critical eye. Gotta love it. anne :-)
thanks so much for your kind comment on my daisy and bee balm picture! are you sure its the same flower though? cause the bee balm doesnt come in blue. thanks aagain , and im glad you enjoyed it! ~abby
Hello Russell! Thanks for commenting on my Terminal Station Catwalk photo. This Terminal Station has been remodled after many years of neglect. You have a great gallery of very nice images.
Russ

Hi! Thanks for your nice comments on 'Skyconcert #2'. I found fireworks very challenging. Out of 70+ shots, I was only happy with three. Lots were blurred or unclear because of smoke.
Hi! Thanks for your feedback on 'Daisy'. You're probably right that some tweaking could improve it. I have Photoshop Elements, but am just learning to use it. Thanks for your suggestions.
Kia Ora Russell, many thanks for your comments and suggestions on Candy Floss and Green Glow. I do not use PS much, but do use PSP. I messed around a bit with Green Glow as I thought the green looked a bit artificial but I reverted back to the original to post. I have a lot to learn :)
Thanks again Russell for the nice comments on my picture “Kermits Lily” I was just getting ready to leave when I spotted Kermit next to this Water Lily.
Thanks Russell for your comments on my picture “Decon Blue II” I had two choices for photographing this Lily. Choice one was to put my 100mm macro and ring flash on the camera and wade out to the Lily for the shot. Choice two stay dry and shoot it with a long lens. Decision made stay dry. A polarizer might have cut some glare but I don'thave one in a 77mm filter size.
Thanks Russel fro commenting on "Stained Flower". If you have Photoshop just open up a new project. Make it 1600x1200 px . Get the gradient fill and pick whatever color you want. Add heavy noise. Pick the cristalize filter and add the amount that suits you best. Then pick the glass filter. You may have to run this one a time or two till you are satisfied with the result. Pick a picture or make a vector object. With the picture play around with the blends and make sure it is a high contrast picture that shows heavy lines. Draw vector lines around the contours and through the glass and give them a good width. Simulated black lead works well. That is what you do.
Russell we need to clarify something, "Goodness Snakes Alive" is not a manip it's an Apophysis creation no manip of a photo or another art work is involved. Hope that helps you out. Anyway thanks bud for your great words on it. John
Thanks Russell for your comments on my pic 'Train', Its always nice to get good feedback on photos, I took the shot from the window of another moving train so it was just a lucky shot that I thought was good enough for a post on Caedes. Thank you. Regards, Dean.
thanks so very much russel for your kind comment on "the path"! and you are so right about needing something cool this summer. it was very hot there also, but luckily the woods were so thick the sun didnt get to us so it wa a lot cooler. and green is right, it was incredible. thanks again, im so glad you enjoyed it! ~abby
hey Russell! thanks so much for yourkind comment on my 'rocky river" post. it sure was pretty there. the water was low, i think just beacause it was summer. you could tell that the water was ussually much much higher (it looked like about 6 feet or more higher!). but still, looks like a rough trip. anyways, thanks again, i really appreciate it!! ~abby
Wasn't nearly as hard to focus that bee in on "Beezy" Russel. He posed as long as I wanted him to. :) A friend wanted me to draw a bee so I just couldn't refuse. She has been a gem to me.
hey russel...thanks so very much for your kind comment on my "wall of water" post! it was such a fun spot...right in downtown lexington and kids...and even adults were wading in that top part...such a beautiful landmark. thanks again...glad you enjoyed it! ~abby
hey again russel! this time thanks for you kind comment on my "light fire water"! you are so right..it really does look like fireworks! haha throwing magnesium into a camp fire...some of my guy friends would really like to try that. thanks again..im so glad you liked it! ~abby
I have trouble finding things wrong with things I really like, so, honestly, I didn't think it was too dark. I thought it was excellent. It's even on my desktop right now. :)
I often dream about things that don't exist. And in those dreams, I'm often taking photographs that I plan to put on Caedes... and when I wake up... I'm disappointed because it wasn't real.
hey russel! thanks so much for your comment on "just a daisy" i realized that the focus was off as soon as i viewed it full screen in irfanview...it kinda made me angry. but i thought i would try it anyways. and you are right...my camera auto focuses everything...and i cant figure out how to not let it do that...its frustrating. anyways...thanks for the advice! ~abby
thanks so much russel for your comment on "the ball" i was playing with this ball when i thought that it could make for an interesting shot. i have some color ones also, but i am not so sure how the focus turned out..i havent looked real close yet. i do agree that it could look better with more DOF. but i dont know how to change the exposure on my camera...it doesnt let me do settings like that i dont think. anyways...thanks so muhc...glad to get some feedback like what you always give! ~abby
hey russell!! thanks so much for the comments you left on my recent pictures!! i really appreciate them so much, its good to get some feedback and to hear what works and doesnt work. thanks so much! ~ abby
hey russel! thanks so much for your comment on Lily 2! i do agree that more DOF would look slighty better after looking at it now..its always good to learn new things! thanks again! ~abby
hey russel, this time thanks so much for your comment on lily 3! i increased the contrast a tiny bit, and the saturation even less, so this is pretty much the actual colors, crazy huh. thanks again for such a great comment, much appreciated like always! ~abby
hey russell, thanks so very much for your kind comments on my "daisy and bee balm 2" and "lily 4" posts! i really appreciate your feedback, and im glad you enjoyed them! ~abby
Hello! Thanks for your comment. I'm new to photography and quite frankly haven't figured out all my cameras functions yet..I appreciate your suggestion and will work on it. Best wishes, Bobbi
Hey Russel! thanks so very much for your kind comment on "fall in a bowl" the clay pot base sadly was not my idea...my mom put it there as another bird feeder, but as you can tell it got all covered up. so this scene was not put together by me...i only pushed a button. thanks so much for the comment! i really appreciate it! ~abby
Hey Russell, thanks for you comments on my posting "strokes". Quiet and I took a drive up to Bellfountain on Thanksgiving. Not sure if you've been there or not but it's a worthwhile trip. The hamlet is a popular resting stop for motorcyce and car-drivers as the roads through the Credit river valley are winding and interesting. The park itself is a bit obscure but has some great (though a bit rough) hiking trails with many points of interest (visually and historically) along the way. It's open for 2 more weeks then closed till spring. Check it out as you're able.

Thank you Russell for your comments about “Cocky Dragon”. I wasn’t long ago when I was saying that I couldn’t get a good shot of a dragonfly. So keep trying, I’m sure you can do it but practice makes perfect and at least we aren’t wasting money on film while we practice :-)
