There is just something alluring about the whisper of a breeze softly touching the Pampas Grasses. When I lived in Texas for a while, there was an abundance of them. While I was out for a drive a couple days ago, I saw this beautiful mass of them just slightly weaving in the wind, and well, here is the final result. I called it whisper due to the obvious quiet soft sounds it was making. Please let me know your thought on this. Thanx for being here.
Hi Verena
Thank you so much for the kind comment on "WATERLILY" I do appreciate it very much and I'm honoured that you want to do a canvas of it. I see what you mean with the cloning out of the fly. I will try it soon and maybe do a repost of it.
Hello Verena. Thank you so much for your comment on master mason. I'm glad you saw the parallel between the roots that embraced the stumbling stones and grew to be an amazing sculpture because of them. We really shouldn't bemoan our hard times, they are what make us so complex. Yet, it makes sense to be miserable for the time it takes us to figure out how to incorporate them into who we are in a good way :)

Hi Verena! The Spruce Burl shot was named after the type of tree/wood. It's a type of spruce, or a condition of the spruce perhaps. I took them in downtown Banff. If you can fly me there, I'll take you lots more pictures :))) Thank you for your comment!

Thank you very much for your nice comment on Transitory Beauty. The structures of the leafes are real. I have only added the glowing effect to the rose.

Hi Verena, thanks for your lovely comments on Journey's End and Three Little Jewels... I always appreciate hearing from you.
I know the feeling about being restricted in what one can do on the internet, and I'm glad you have faster broadband now. What restricts me is not broadband speed but a download limit... if I download more than 2 GB in a month (such as wallpapers, general surfing, etc) then I have to pay £5 to be allowed to continue surfing that month! I have a horrible feeling I might be heading for that again this month, as it always happens when I go on deviantArt!
I hope the move is progressing well... it sounds enjoyable in a way; new places to put everything, and lots of cups of tea. :-D
Thank you for the nice comment on Ivory Carrier 3. I'm very glad that it seemed as if everyone has enjoyed them. Post the last one - for now - in the IC series.. I won't ever stop posting them as long as i have pics of them, cos they are my favourite animal to take pics of. :) thanx again for popping in

Hello Verena....Many thanks for your comments on (RIVER BEND)they are very much appreciated.....I have to say that the scenery in Scotland is indeed beautiful...I plan my photography around the weather to get the right light for a particular scene.....Camera lens filters have many uses in digital photography, and should be an important part of any photographer's camera bag. I use polarizing filters to reduce glare and improve saturation in almost all of my shots.....Thankyou again.......All the best to you Verena........................Mick.
Hello again Verena.....Thankyou for viewing (THE OLD STONE BRIDGE)and for your comments,I really appreciate them......The bridge is part of an old military road between Perth and a place called Braemar.....If you do have the opportunity to visit Scotland then you must grab that opportunity with both hands, you will not be disappointed.........Thankyou again.....All the best to you Verena..........Mick.
Hey Verena, thanks for the comment on "Eilean Donan 2"! I wish this castle was near me. That means I would living in Scotland, but saddly, I'm here in the Maryland. Oh well. Maybe someday soon I'll be living there.

Its good too, but doesn't compare to this one. I wish there were a few trees with the Spanish Moss hanging on them tho. That would make it even better. Thank youPat...so much.verena"
Verena, you just made me realize that I need to learn how to do a composite picture. I will learn how. Thanks for mentioning it.
Hey Verena thanks once again for your kind words of inspiration. You have been around since I first came on Caedes and I always enjoy hearing from you...
Verena, thanks so much for your recent comments on: 31 Flavors, Whirlwind, Lime Swirl, Electric Swirl, Way Down, Below the Ocean, and The Boneyard (I saw the frog face here too, but thought it was just me. Nice to know I'm not the only one, lol). And I posted something re your request, I only hope you enjoy it. And again, thanks for your lovely comments and faving. I appreciate that very much!

Verena, I'm sorry that "ESP" reminds you of the sad time back in Germany. By heritage, I am German and I'm sadden by what the Germans had to live through in that time period. I'm actually happy (don't know if that's the right word to use here) that my photo has created that type of emotion in someone.
Thank you very much Verena for your very kind comments on Hanging On. I know I don't thank enough people for all the great words, but I truly do appreciate what you have to Say. Thanks again.

Dear Verena,
Many many thanks for visiting my gallery and for your heart warming comments on the images. My sincere apologies for not responding individually; I'm awfully tied up with work-related issues and just have the time to pop in and out of Caedes everyday! My cordial thanks again!
Bram
Thanks much Verena... for your encouraging words regarding my "Right place at the right time"... really appreciate you taking the time to check it out :)

thanks for your kind comment about Land Of Enchantment Verena I still got plenty left from my AZ trip this summer. I just returned from Florida where I stayed in a beach front condo overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. I think Eastern Oregon has some desert areas in case you want to take a look at one without going too far..I had to go 1600 miles to view this place

Hi Verena ... Thank you for your kind words on "Foggy Trilogy". That is snow along with the fog ... sometimes the temperature will rise above freezing during the winter months in the far north & with the combination of some moisture will create quite a bit of fog. Sometimes the foggy conditions will last all day long ... this particular shot was taken in the late afternoon. Thanks much for your visit ... enjoy your weekend. Sherree
V, thank you for commenting on "Between the Storms." I am also glad that whatever was preventing you in looking at my gallery has been corrected for you. Have a wonderful weekend! ~~ John
Hi Verena I thought who the heck is looking at Dragons Rock after all this time. The rock is limestone and on the other side are more umbrellas and the beach with lounge chairs, they don't let you get too near the edge because a big wave could come up and knock someone into the ocean. Thanks for taking the time to come and look at it.
The "Dock" was taken on the nicest day of the whole week. and I did see two large turtles swimming near the dock. my resort was very nice and rather quiet the kids were back in school and the fall foliage hadn't really started yet so fall leaf change watchers hadn't come yet. Maybe I should have called it sitting by the dock of the Bay sounds more exciting.
Thanks for coming down and looking a the old dock Verena!
V, I feel very honored by all of my pictures you have just recently viewed, commented on, and favd. It was like a birthday or Christmas morning when I opened my Subscriptions and Favorites. I hope you have a terrific weekend! ~~ John
Hi Verena,
Thanks for your kind comments on "Downstream". Glad you liked it. The fiery reflection was the reason I took the photo in the first place. The soft light is from the editing software, the original is much darker.
Thanks again, have a nice day. Your friend, Wendell.
Many thanks my good friend for your constructive comment on "Eiffel Stars" and for Fav'ing it!
Re the noise, you're absolutely right! I took this pic with my Snap and shoot Casio camera while our own boat was moving. In fact, the noise is so bothersome that I had doubts if I should even upload it! Were it not for the composition and the overall effect, which I thought was not bad after all, I wouldn't have uploaded this image! I tried to reduce the noise using PS but it would give it a "plastic" look which I didn't like...so, I finally decided to upload it "as is"!
Once again, I thank you for your nice comment!
Bram
ps The stars were put on the tower only for the period of time France had the presidency of the EU; they're taken down since last year. I have been to Paris twice more since last year when I took this picture; I can tell you for sure -unfortunately- that they have taken those lovely stars down! :-(

Thanks for taking my 9th floor balcony "view down Daytona Beach". Verena The hotel had 4 swimming pools, 2 indoor and 2 outside, a lazy river, a childs pool and hot tubs and hardly took any pictures the whole week...plus I was sort of leery what the salty and moist ocean air might do to the lens

Good morning Verena
I have been very remiss, and not yet thanked you for your very appreciated comments on "Sweet Nectar" and "Waiting the Tide". They have warmed me.
I know you like the ocean. That particular beach is not highly frequented. It is about a hour and a bit drive from home, and is most peaceful to walk along. Feel free to drift with the tide and allow the soothing waves to pass over you.
Music is more than the notes we hear; it is the spaces between the notes that make it complete.
I'll make the coffee and donuts and we can sit outside and you can paint the sunrise to your hearts content Verena...looks like pretty day at Daytona Beach. I do take sunrise/sunset shots but rarely put one up
Good morning dear friend
Enjoyed your comments on "Creek in the rainforest". I know you would have enjoyed being there, so peaceful and calming. There is a walking track beside this creek, a joy to wander along. It is not often that one gets the opportunity to walk in country like this, and should the opportunity arise will return to take other walks that are available. As they are on private property and permission must be sought from the owners, the land has been very carefully looked after, which is good - no mad hordes.

Good morning Verena
I enjoyed your comments on "aaahhhhhh!!! Lunch !!!". Truth be known, I was on a platform over three metres up, and yes, a good telephoto. As these are native to much of northern Australia, we treat them with a healthy respect (but for some reason I cannot fathom, the tourists treat them with trepidation and fear; strange). They are excellent survivors except against the predations of man (and are thus now protected, at least here, and it is good to see their numbers climbing).
It is your encouragement that has brought me back to Caedes and to posting photos. For this, I give you my thanks.
With my warm greetings

They are very much appreciated

Hi Verene! Thanks for your nice comment on "Hazy Chicago". Re the "Lens Flare" in PS:
Open your image in PS
Click on "Filter"
Click on "Render"
Choose "Lens Flare"
In the new window, drag and drop the cross sign wherever in the photo you like
Choose "Brightness" by moving the bar in this same window
Pick one of the four options in the bottom of the window, namely, "50-300mm Zoom", etc.
You're done!
Good Evening Verena.
Thanks for your comments on "Pale Sunset". Glad you liked it. The clouds were the main reason I took the shot. I liked the colours they presented. Technically the sun is not even in the shot it's more to the left of the photo area. Have a great day my friend and keep up the wonderful posts.

Good morning my very dear friend
The one thing about all the frames I took in Israel is that none of them do justice to the sheer beauty and the sense of tranquility. There will be more going up on Caedes over time. This room is only about 500 metres or so from the spot that is regarded as the Most Holy Spot on earth by the Baha'is. There were children playing in the room a little earlier, and even they were imbued with that same sense of peace and calm quietness. An easy room to be at peace and filled with wonder.
