East Side Oahu, the storm blowing in kicked up quite a swell out on the reef, and the surfers were stoked about the 12ft clean sets.
Re-Uploading this image because I had a bit of noise in the last. Sorry to everyone who commented on the previous image! Please feel free to comment / critique! thank you, and ALOHA

Life is like a grindstone.Whether it grinds us down or polishes us up depends on us.
Hello Vladimir
Thank you so much for stopping by to comment on Frangipani 2:-) You and Pam got me wondering so I had a look in my dictionary. It says that its called Frangipani and the Genus is Plumeria. So I guess is goes by both names. Whatever one calls it, it sure is lovely!

We were created, so for us to create thru our own ideas is the ultimate feeling. We live when we create!
Does this mean you're not adding me to friends list? Because someone takes a photo of something doesn't make them an advocate for anything. There's such a thing as reporting what you see. Have a good evening.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on 'Docklands HDR'. I have to say though the post work is exactly as I intended it to look, halo's and all. Perhaps not to everyones liking but still the way I wanted to present it.

You're so juvenile and unworthy of any more discussion. Any more vulgar comments from you and I will report you. Grow up and maybe you'll actually reach your goal.

Hey Vlad...you're exactly right...me and my sister took a little dusk trip to a lake near our house. She likes to take pictures of me taking pictures!! But, I posed for hers :)
Thank you so much for your great words and faving my 'Can't find my mum' shot. Have a great day.

vladimir, thanks so much for your comment and advice on my "Adara" image. I'm not sure, but perhaps the reason the model looks flat to you is because of all the smoothing I did to her skin. She was actually shot in a lighting studio. I did use a flash, but with incandescent lighting. I really appreciate your suggestion!
if at first you don't succeed, you're about normal.

I hold all those who had the right stuff to sit on that in those capsules and ride a controlled explosion into the cosmos in very high esteem. It was a strange bit of irony for him to survive the dangers of spaceflight only to die in a plane crash. If you go to Russia, you should give some thought to riding the Red Arrow to Moscow, and visiting the Memorial Museum of Kosmonautics, and the Gagarin Memorial.
Thanks for visiting "First Manned Spaceflight" and expressing your valuable opinion.

Hey Vlad.... Ty so much for that great comment on Mono shot !!! I put another up but that ended in tears... the swines hated it !!! LOL.... i agree about it being boring, all i see are fractals landscapes and more lanscapes.... we need to liven it up without overstepping the boundaries :)

Hello Vladimir! Sorry I haven't been on caedes much lately. Too many other thing demanding time. Thanks for viewing and commenting on my La Jolla Fog Bank image. The fog came in shortly after this photo was taken and stayed for two days. I appreciate your comments and support.

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

mhm. I'm glad the rework is better. Yeah... I thought about reshooting it- and I still might- but I'm scared that it will turn out less then what I hope. Haha xD Thanks so much for the feedback! It helps soooo much =]

A thing becomes beautiful from the thought of its absence.
The rivers in England are much faster that those back home. The countryside is so beautiful. I wish that I had planned a little longer stay, but alas, we fky back in a week.
Thanks for dropping by "South Fork", Vlad.

Hey! Thanks for commenting on 'uhh..' (I really should have thought of a better title) ;) and for commenting on 'another girl'.
For 'uhhh...' - Yes, I see what you mean with the overexposure. I guess I was going for a more dramatic effect. I also vamped up the contrast, which probably messed up the colors a little bit.
For 'another girl' - Thank you! Actually, I've just discovered charcoal and have been messing around with that, I don't really like using pencil too much anymore... You should try charcoal too, it's so much easier to blend with. As for specifics, like how you could improve on drawing the eyes an nose, I'm not really sure, I think I'd need to see one of your drawings. (I'm sure they're not as shitty as you think ;) you should upload one one here.
Thanks again for both comments! I appreciate it!

Hey Vlad!
Thanks for your comments on 'Sun Warrior' and 'Water vs Fire' :) The thing about the sheet is very helpful- I'm always looking for new ways to manipulate light. And I actually don't draw freehand in PS b/c frankly, I'm not very good at it. :P I have a graphic tablet and everything- but I don't use it for freehand b/c I just can't seem to master that kind of art... d@mn...
Thanks!

Many thanks for your comment on "What Once Was", Vlad. This is an incredible structure that refuses to just quietly go away, even after centuries of the neighbors stealing rocks for their homes, it still stands in defiance of Henry VII. It's almost like it is saying "You are dust, but look at me..."

Many thanks for your comments on "Fall Crop", Vlad. The splash of color in the background is from our summer planters. I put them there while I was putting the fall planters of mums in our windows.

Thanks for the comment on "The view from on high 2". That is the river Vrbas in Bosnia & Hercegovina, actually one part of it. World Rafting Championships 2009 was on the wild waters of the Vrbas recently. The photo was taken late in the afternoon so the lighting isn't the best.
Thanks Arjuna, for the kinds comment on "Sunrise or Sunset"
I appreciate your feedback a lot.
