Me again. Thanx also for visiting "Sunset". Your kind comments are very much appreciated. Your sunset pictures are beautiful too. Looking forward to see more of your work. ;)
Hello Zorro!
Thanks for your nice comments!
And yes that dog of mine is a cairn terrier, at least that's what they told me...
I can really recommend this dog, it is a small but robust "real dog". He loves kids, never has a quarrel with other dogs and really hates cats. In one word perfect!
Thanks,
Paul
Hello.....Many thanks for taking the time to have a look at (SOLITARY HOUSE) and for your comments....I think the house would cost a good penny if it came on the market...By the way I have just spent a couple of weeks in Scotland....I was brought up in Aberdeenshire and I'm now living in Cornwall...Thanks again...All the best...Mick.
Slowly, silently, now the moon
Walks the night in her silver shoon;
This way, and that, she peers, and sees
Silver fruit upon silver trees;
One by one the casements catch
Her beams beneath the silvery thatch;
Couched in his kennel, like a log,
With paws of silver sleeps the dog;
From their shadowy cote the white breast peep
Of doves in silver-feathered sleep;
A harvest mouse goes scampering by,
With silver claws and a silver eye;
And moveless fish in the water gleam,
By silver reeds in a silver stream.

Hi Narnia. Sorry I'm late with the reply but I really find navigating around this site difficult. Counter-intuitive sometimes. I only discovered today that I have the ability to mark favourites, lol. As to the name, I always try to use Zorro but it's often taken so I came up with the '...fox' addendum. When my wife found out she pointed out to me that zorro means fox in Spanish (she takes Spanish classes). Aye, I know, thick or what? I really must try to keep up to date at Caedes but there's often not enough hours in the day for me.
Hello Zorro (X2 ?)
Thanks for taking a look at my Arno Reflections picture and your nice comment. If you ever get a chance to visit Florence you wont be disappointed. I only had a very short time there, nowhere near enough time to see a fraction of what it has to offer.

I just wanted to send a few words your way in appreciation for the ones you put to my piece; "Autumnal Face." Thanks for viewing and thank you for the kind words.
Les.
p.s. Going overboard on effects added?
Hmm, you must have seen the other half dozen or so alternative manipulations I had done on the original photo. :oP
p.s.p.s. Oh, you will get used to my verbosity, lol ... hence the two postscripts here ... "Poison Dahlia" looks great. You might have taken a hit with the viewers because of the centering of your subject ... but ... it is allll about that gorgeous flower. Nice work, please give me some time for a revisit of your gallery of works. From first perusal, you have some very strong images and I look forward to viewing them in more detail. Till then. :o)
Hi Zorro.. thanks for your lovely words on Purple Passion... i'm so glad you like it.. I've heard that you can get something very similar to these over there...

Hia Zorrofox, or is it Zorro?? Thanks for dropping by Watching over the bay. I appreciate your commkents and feel very honoured having comments from such a compitent artist as yourself.
Hello Zorrofox,
thanks for stopping by again, this time at my ground hog.
You asked how I do this? With a 70-300mm zoom lens, which due to the 1,6 crop factor of my camera becomes a 100-480 mm lens.
I other words I can keep a lot of distance and still get very close to the subject.
The shallow depth of focus is also due to the lens.
Thanks for your interest!
Paul

Hi,
I think it is Loch Voil and Loch Doine, Balquhidder Glen (OS grid NN 5020). Actually I remembered later, we were flying into Glasgow, not Edinburgh. We flew out of Edinburgh to Prague! What a journey between the two - took longer than flying from Stornoway to Glasgow!
Hi Zorro and thanks for commenting on the Sunset on the gull resting place. I agree that the picture looks a little lop sided atthe top, and I am working on that point, keep an eye on this space.
Hi Zorro. Sunset where the gulls rest.....3 is now the final posting of this picture and i am really pleased with the picture and thank you very much for your help and opinion on this picture. I am now fianally proud of this piece and finally can move onto another one..lol.
Hi again Zorro and thanks for commenting on Sunset over the roof tops. Yes i do remember Album Covers, and in my time, I have even designed a few....br it for my own band mainly...lol. I am glad you could see this as one of them.
Thank you so much! My "dirty doors" caused a few raised eyebrows as folks walked past me (as I held my breath and squeezed the shutter!) - but you've made it worth it!!
Zorro, I am so pleased your wife will like this, I quite enjoyed making this one, even though the manip of me looked a little fat...lol. I appreciate your comments as always.

Hello Gordon,
concerning that clock I posted the following subscription:
"No, no, no, you are all wrong.
The answer is that the perspective is totally screwed up.
When you look at this photo, your point of view seems to be right in front of the clock.
But in reality the position of the camera was far to the left and below the clock.
So I hussled the photo until this result came out.
But look closely, you can see the left side of the clock, but not the right hand side.
Look at the curls, are they symmetric? "
Thanks for taking time to visit '4-in-One' Gordon...as always...appreciated.....
There is a free version of this...'Panorama Plus1'....I am using two at the moment!

Thanks a lot for those kind words to ~'Autumn Brook'~ very grateful for your visit!....
The stream here runs off a disused quarry and all debris was removed!......Bob
Thanks for comments on 'wet wet and wetter' . I aim to be the eccentric around here, so let my imagination roam! Might as well strive to be remembered as a nutter!
Re Antipodean Shrub - this was one of my first attempts with new lens - and the first time I have had to 'lock' focus - so I was pleased with the way it turned out. Thanks for visiting me again!
Cheers for your visit to 'Walls Could Talk'....The image don't do it justice!......
I have an image on here named 'Ethereal'...have a look, and tell me what you think!
Hi Gordon for your wonderful comment on Dreamtime #1.. i'm glad you liked it, i had a great time putting it all together... I will be doing more of these..
Re Doodling - I know - this was actually a horribly difficult shot. I tried some of them against a plain background, but they just looked lonely! Also they were horrid to focus on! So I just compromised and did it this way!
Mention Andalusia and most travelers would think of big cities: Granada, Cordoba, and Seville. But there is also another Andalusia, unspoiled region of picturesque mountains, orange or olive groves punctuated by often hidden, hill towns with narrow cobbled streets of whitewashed houses. I am glad you decided to visit one of them. Stay tuned
I am so glad, you came by Only a stone's throw and did not ask for a blue sky. Yes, moody, I understand and thats what I feel about it too. Thanks a lot!
Thanks for the comments on 'Snow' very much appreciated. I was going to take that whisp out but decided to not mess with the pic. Maybe that's why it didn't score so well.

Hello and thank you so very much for your nice comment on my yellow field of flowers. Its always a great feeling to know someone enjoys some of the photos I take. I especially enjoy hearing from people all over the world. I was born in Germany and came to the USA when I was ten yrs old. I also lived in the UK for a few years..I still miss everything over there...and won't forget it.I enjoy getting to know people from all over the world, and since this is the first time I've seen your works, I will for sure go thru your Gallery and enjoy the area you live in... Again, thank you so much....Verena
