thanks for the comments on "sedona"
the focal length was achieved by standing about 10 feet away from the tree and zooming in to get it and the mountain in focus... this shot was taken right as the sun went down. thats what gave it the warmth.
thanks again

Kia Ora DP - re: using my sky from The Lonely Road - you are welcome.
I had a look at you altered picture - it looks very good. I would not have recognised the sky :) Thank you for being courteous enough to ask :)
And I'm thanking you as well for adding me onto your list of friends. I followed your link on how to give a good review on a photograph. There was a wealth of information there and I learned a lot.

For now, my night shots has come to a close, but will post some others on a later
date for sure. For the moment i want to thank you for your time and reply to my
posting(s) It was great to read them all, thanks again,
Hans.
Thanks for your comment on Lilac and Green! If I had a digital SLR camera, I may have been able to play with the depth of field, but since it's not, I took what I could get. :) Now...to save up the pennies for a nice SLR....

yay, thanks for the information on what my mysterious moth was, it does indeed look like it is a lime hawk moth, so the mystery is solved, thanks :-) Jan
Hey there DP, thanks for the help in finding out what kind of bird this is, it really had me stumped. The shot was taken at a zoo here in florida, so yes he is in captivity. Glad you enjoyed the photo. BTW how do you add a link like you did?

---Is this bridge in fact a draw bridge? Or do my eyes deceive me? Beautiful shot Mr. C.---
Mr. DP, everything is okay with your eyes (lol) as you're right. Thanks for taking the time to comment on my images. Highly appreciated!

Hi DP, thanks for leaving your comments on "The first part of the journey". I am glad you liked the image. And compliments for spotting the reference to the song on the title.
You are quite welcome!!! Your image captured my eye in the gallery right away. I am the daughter of a soldier who fought in two wars (living overseas for both wars), I have a strong patriotic streak that I don't seem to find often in others. Thank YOU for taking the time to capture and share such a striking photo.
Hello, Thanks so much for taking the time to viewing and commenting on "Good morning sunshine #3" I so appreciate all your more than kind words. Thanks for 10 and the favorite as well. Lyn

Thankyou for visiting and commenting on "Esplanade Night View - Wide Screen". I'm glad you liked the shot. I agree its a bit overexposed...will definitely take that into account when I take more night shots. You criticism is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Shahzeb
P.S.: You have an absolutely amazing gallery yourself!

The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box.

There are tons of websites for uploading snapshots - photos of your neice, back yard, etc. "Caedes Man" did not start this website for that purpose. His intent was to offer a venue for folks to share artistic images that could be used as desktop backgrounds. Does anyone really want an out of focus shot of a dog for a desktop background? probably not. Let's share the good stuff and help others by telling them what's good or how to improve an image. We could all make Caedes a great site for everyone and use those other places for the snapshot sharing. A first rate family snap sharing website is www.easysite.com. FREE website to share all your snaps plus a whole lot more. Thanks for giving honest and usable feedback. Blessings to all, anne :-)
Thanks also for your comments on the brother card, Blue Jay Christmas Desktop. Now that I look at it online, it looks like the blue text should have been better matched to the bird... Thanks again for looking and sharing your thoughts. anne :-)

Thank you so much for your nice comment on Focus! I really think te angle is the best thing about it too..if it was just straight up..it would be boring!!
Hi DP, thanks for your comments ....and yes I read about the Wallabies - but no sign of them any more! lol! I might not risk walking there if there were! :)

Thanks DP for looking and comments on "Progress". I enjoy attempting to create something of value, beauty or quality especially in a program like Photoshop.

Putting your pictures in my favorites is the highest honor I can give you. If I could, I would give you an award. But alas, I cannot. So the highest praise I can award you with, is faving your artwork.
None of the ideas expressed above are actually mine. They are told to me by Luthor and Ferdinand, the five inch tall space aliens who live under my desk. In return for these ideas, I have given them permission to eat any dust bunnies they may find under there.
Thank you for leaving a kind message on "Blue and yellow Macaw",it is very much appreciated.I understand what you mean about the tail,i could not get the whole Parrot in the photo otherwise it would have been smaller,i preferred a close up photo but i also like photos of whole Parrots.Have a nice weekend.
Thanks for viewing and commenting on "Sentosa Purple Sky". I'm glad you liked it. I agree its a bit dark...maybe I'll try different setting next time I try my hand at this scene again :)

Hi David, thanks for your comments and I agree totally that the shadows are a little too dark. I tried to bring them back (with the dodge tool) unsuccessfully - paying for increasing contrast within the camera lol! :) ...was worth the experiment though and I learnt something from it. :)

Thanks for looking at The explorers go marching on. I spent AGES trying to choose the right amount of cropping. There are probably better approaches, but in the end this got the job done!
Hi David, Thanks ever so much for your visit and great comments on Purpose With Perception ! I'm so glad you liked it, and that you added it to your faves! Much appreciated :)
Hey DP, Thanks for checking out Gilded Sphere and for your fantastic comments! I really enjoy hearing what others see in the fractals. Now why didn't I think of seahorses and snails?! lol Much appreciated :)
