Twenty hours worth of exposures here by Robert Gendler. NGC2170 is a collection of predominantly reflection and emission nebulosity in the western part of a vast region known as the Mon R 2 association. The Mon R 2 association formed about 6 to 10 million years ago along the edge of the Mon R2 molecular cloud. You can visit Robert's site for many more great examples of his astrophotography talents as well as his various books and prints for sale.
