This is the mom and babies of this breed of duck I found at the park a couple of weeks ago. If you know mallards you can tell she has more dark in her ticked chest feathers and head than a mallard and the ducklings are darker than mallard babies. When I got home from the park that day I grabbed one of my bird books to find out what they were. This was a large brood besides these there were two more who had wandered out of the shot.
