Jacques Demy's 1964 masterpiece is a pop-art opera, or, to borrow the director's own description, a film in song. It was nominated for several Academy Awards, including for Best Foreign Film, Best Song, Best Soundtrack, and Best Original Screenplay. The wonderful music was done by Michel LeGrand. This was done with my crystallized snowflake photo and a filter from SPE of the raindrops. The umbrellas were from a free clipart site. This is my SNATM for this week. This is also my last post for a while - our move is Thursday and time is in short supply and my husband suffered a concussion in a fall this morning. It is a mild concussion but nevertheless the doctor in the emergency room ordered 24-48 hours of rest. So I hope to post again sometime next weekend if all the necessary computer connections are up and running.
