The botanical name is Matthiola incana and it is a member of the cabbage family. It is heavily used by florists in bouquets and arrangements and has a lovely fragrance. It has a large range of colors from whites to lavenders to various shades of pink. This is a double which are fairly common but this was growing outdoors which is not as common here.
