H Guy's,
Nice to be here.
I have been really interested in photography for a long time and now that I have found your Website I hope to learn a thing or two. I would like to upload a pic i took the other day and get some feed back on it...So how do i go about it? are there any polite protocoles I should follow ?
I guess I could answer this question. Just upload the image you have, nothing special. Then people will leave some comments, most likely "nice job's" and then usually people say "thanks" after somebody has commented on their image [on their "user information" page. To get here just click on their avatar/littlepicture]. However you dont have to, I thank every so often, b/c the thank you's build up and lose meaning. Personal preferance.
Well .. it seems noah left out some particulars ... your image must be a wallpaper resolution .. 800x600, 1024x768, 1156x864, 1280x1024, 1600x1200 .. preferably the largest, as some people have filters set to exclude smaller images
You will be automatically subscribed to the image page, meaning when somebody comments on it you will receive a "subscription" notice in the lefthand column .. and you can follow the link provided to return to it .. just as you are subscribed to THIS discussion
and .. you'll want to "subscribe" to your profile page the next time you are there .. (under your info block) .. as for some reason the site doesn't do that for you
last, but not least, you should look over the Code of Conduct .. and the FAQs ... because ignorance is no excuse in the eyes of the law
There will be a slight (or not so slight) delay .. while you wait for a "+, *. =" .. to approve the image ... I'm just a "&" .. I just sweep up after the elephants in the parade
Thank you for your help Keith I look forwad to your comments on the pic.
I 've never put anything up for critisism before, so i suppose i'll find out if they are anygood...LOL.
I noticed today that someone was crying out for Aussie Photos i have a few good ones of the Australian bush i couls put in, but i will wait to see if i have done everything right with this one first.
I saw a peanut stand, heard a rubber band,
I saw a needle that winked its eye.
But I think I will have seen everything
When I see an elephant fly.
