Regrettably the get-together planned for 2009 has been cancelled as too few members are able to attend. Thank you to all those who expressed an interest.
there was idd. But the UK get together is a International get together. Last year there were people from America, very nice, cool, friendly people! So everybody can, is asked, to come :-).
I would like to go to this event simply because I love photography, & it's @ a location close to me. :o) However I have a few issues with Caedes, & Patti / Fogz.
I am however a open minded man, & can resolve issues my friend, but I still cannot decide whether to attend or not right now. Please send a me Email then we communicate privately. :o)
If you have a garden please feed the birds this winter, & supply drinking water not ice, it's so important. . . . Please help dwindling bird numbers survive.
I'd think that entire message should have been kept private, Phil. As an outside observer, all I've ever seen between the two of you , is you leaving rude comments on her work, and about her double title.
Sorry Nigel (and everyone else), I won't be making any more of a mess here.
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
Awww... sounds like a fantastic trip! I'm afraid I too will have to wait until next year as I'm still paying off all the airline tickets and hotel rooms from last year, boo hoo! I will miss you all terribly as I had such a wonderful time with you last spring... sigh
'Lisa
Sadly I won't be able to make the weekend this year either, as I shall be in Sardinia at that time! However, I visited this area only recently so can confirm that you will all have a wonderful time there. If not already on your itinerary, you MUST go to Ladram Bay, near Otterton, for some fantastic cliffs and stacks in red sandstone - ignoring an unprepossessing holiday camp slightly further inland which, fortunately, doesn't spoil the coastal scenery. Have a great time one and all!
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
I'd love to come. Is there any information about disabled access and distances to facilities?
I'd have to share, I couldn't afford a single use..I think.
I'm rather nervous about meeting new people and sadly I am reliant on the people around me because of my disability..but I am interested since I missed the last meet.
Good to see all the recent messages here. Ron et al, this is indeed an international get together, merely located in the UK because that's where I live. Last year people came from all over and I hope they will do so again. Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it Kevin, although I know you won't feel deprived by having to go to Sardinia instead ;-) Bonnie, if you follow the link to the holiday park's website in my header article there's information about disabled access there. The staff are very helpful and can talk you through it if you ring them with any questions. We don't have a disabled access caravan so there are two or three steps up to all of them, but beyond that I believe it's all level.
I Have a spare you can borrow pentax k100d super with a 18mm-50mm lens Batteries not included,Except for the ones that's in it,You can have it till i leave Monday morning..Richie.
I would absolutely love to come to this! Dorset is my home and the Jurassic coast my all time favorite place in the world! However, i suspect that i will be right in the middle of being assessed for my suitability as a trainee teacher around that time and might find work just takes the oppertunity away from me :(
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom i trust". Psalm 91: 1 and 2
P.S. If you get a chance, take a look at my gallery. Any comments, criticisms, or advice on any particular pics would be more than welcome. But only if you have a spare moment! Have an awesome day!

Well, this is looking more likely. I'd love to stay longer if I can but either way I hope to make this.
I'll probably need a lesson on that camera ;) I'm still using my standard for my shots.
Ok Richie, I'm practicing green green grass of home, so keep your voice warm enough! BTW fancy a sandcastle? I saw that there is a beach nearby ;). And I discovered that I've been there before. We stayed in a travel Inn then and the weather was fine :).
Well there'll be a good opportunity for karaoke round the campfire on the Sunday evening if the weather holds for the barbecue! How did you uncover that clip of Richie Anne Marie....Truly scary! Hope you do bring your guitar again Nick!
If I'm comming, I will bring my guitar for sure! But that clip really is scary :). Maybe All who's comming can practice too. Ask Richie for some singinglessons, he knows how to sing :).

Gosh this sounds so wonderful, I wonder if a very nice get together like this would be possible on the good ol'
West Coast USA!...There's even a place everyone could stay and it would be wonderful right here by the Pacific Ocean....V
Why not come and join us, Verena? There's a direct flight from Portland to Amsterdam, then the short City Hopper to London!
Perhaps you could combine it with a trip to your homeland, which is just across the English Channel from our Caedes UK get-together.
So where's this place we can all stay when we come over to your neck o' the woods next year? Lovely as it is, I draw the line at camping in a tent on Cannon Beach!
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELL! Go take a long walk off a short pier, will ya? hey Verena, just cancel a get together in Oregon if Nigel is coming. Sheesh! (picks up handbag, loads it with rocks and goes looking for Nigel)
Well, I am not able to fly due to a health issue....so I supposed for now I will have to pass on coming to the UK..but it would be wonderful to go back there and to Germany as well.
One day maybe I will be able to do that. For now, we will have a wonderful get together here in Summer when it is the most beautiful here.
Anne Marie...Cannon beach? a tent?? noooooooooooooooo!!
I have a dear friend from caedes, she lives just a bit South of Portland, she has lots of room and has made her place available for anyone to come for a visit. She has a home, and some land etc, and so do I...would just love it. The meeting of the minds....the photographers...what fun we could all have! Lounging on the beaches, eating fresh crab and oysters. There's a Fishery that will clean them, cook
them, and you can eat them in their rustic outdoor setting, no charge for that other than the crab etc...or you can take them to a beach house or camping etc! Yummm, those crab are some of the best in the world! And how about some fresh smoked Salmon??!! If we were to plan it ahead of time, we might be able to come up with reservations at the Coast, but staying an hour inland is fine...so it takes an hour to drive there, that's worth it I'm sure. I am jealous of all of you in UK, I would love to be there. Maybe by the next
time you all meet....Awwww poor Momma.....Nigel you are such
a naughty man!! Tsk tsk...chasing Momma like that!! Ya better watch out or she WILL swat ya with her purse!!....
Crab? Oyster? Smoked Salmon? The Oregon Coast? Verena? What are we doing thinking about Dorset?! If it wasn't for the proximity of an alligator-skinning, rock-hurling retired Lousiana truck driver I would give up the UK idea and book my flight right now ;-)
Nawwwwwwwwwww...Louisiana is FARFARFAR away from Oregon and the Pacific...Nigel ya just gotta come visit here, if we can pull this off it'll be in July or August....a gorgeous time here...tons of flowers, especially Roses..I mean, Portland is the City of Roses! I know of a "off the beaten path" place where my friend Karla makes the absolutely best smoked salm, oysters and fish you will EVER find anywhere. She even ships around the world..but she's a true fisherwoman...If Moma comes too, then they would be buddies forever, I know it. The Columbia River is known for the Salmon...makes me mouth water just thinking about it......V
I'm on my way (packs suitcase)....oh goodie.....(packs 2nd suitcase)......................hoo-wait a minute. Are you gonna let Nigel come after he called me all those names?
Rock Throwing Momma
If you have a garden please feed the birds this winter, & supply drinking water not ice, it's so important. . . . Please help dwindling bird numbers survive.
Nigel, them gators didn't die to make my suitcases. They are alive and I am shipping them to you for YOU to make suitcases out of. I know you will handle them with great care.
(Hee, hee, hee, hee)
Hey, friends !
Do you think it would be possible for a dog to join the party ?
I mean Boris. Am not quite decided yet but would appreciate your advice/comments etc.
*Marzena at a daydreaming/planning stage*
Hi daydreaming Marzena! I'd love Boris to come but unfortunately I believe that the holiday park doesn't allow pets. Anne Marie has investigated so she will be able to say better than me. It's a pity. Owd Bob thought the rule said 'no pests', that's why he's not coming ;-)
Well i haven't been on for here a while,So it comes as a surprise to me that my singing talents have been brought into question. Thanks Anne Marie i did for a moment think you where my friend and also thanks to Jan who give you such good support..I will see you two in May...I'm Gargling salt in an effort to fine tune the old vocal cords..Let me tell you Tom Jones is going to get hammering Saturday night....along with a couple of others.....Rx
hehehehehe a hammering huh? you know you'd rather just get hammered :-) and as its your round...(or is that boxing..)!! ho hum... im arriving sunday :-P :-)
Gargle away to your heart's content, dear boy! Soak your fists in vinegar too, if you think it would raise your chances of lasting even half a round with either Jan or me.
As [ahem] 'traditionally-built ladies', we'd only have to lean on you to guarantee a 10-second knock-out!
Was that before or after you sang with the smurfs, Father Abraham?
And as for Patti singing, I've said before there will be no luring ships onto the rocks. They'll chuck us out of the holiday park if we get mobbed by stranded sailors.

Well Well Anne-Marie and Sundance kitty..Ganging up on me again Eh....Clicked on the link and i have to admit i did look a little like him in my younger days.Wait a minute what do i see in the background,It's the lead Smurf and he's got his red hat on,In fact it's not to dissimilar to the one Anne-Marie wore at the Bradford meet..It is!,It is!,The one worn at Bradford....Well Well a Smurfette..Hope your back from Holland in time for Dorset....Luv.. ABE..XXX...Smirk..
Honestly, I turn my back for five minutes and look what happens. Will you behave you lot. Otherwise I will have to invite Matron to the get-together as a chaperone, and you wouldn't want that now would you.
Way Hay how cool is that! If you looked at the holiday park you'll know it's at the start of the causeway to the island; I guess you know it anyway if you live there. Would you like to come with us on the bus tour maybe, and to the barbecue on Sunday?
Regrettably the get-together planned for 2009 has been cancelled as too few members are able to attend. Thank you to all those who expressed an interest.
Awww, so sorry to hear that, Nigel...was really looking forward to more zany photos from you lot...but I know your efforts are greatly appreciated and hopefully it CAN happen again another time.
This is a real shame - maybe as Pat said it will happen another time. The Jurassic Coast has been there a long time and will wait for you.
It looked such a great program :(
It's a shame I agree, but the credit crunch has played its part. Never mind, there will be lots more opportunities for Caedes fans to meet one another I'm sure.
mmmmmm I helped myself to some of those yummy cakes! lol! ....and yes Nigel you do deserve at least one huge plate of cake for all your work - I am sorry it did not come off as I was really looking forward to photographing the Jurassic coast and spending time with my Caedes friends. Px
