This old railroad depot is located in Moberly, Missouri. The sky was about as good as it gets on this particular day. I was waiting for the 3:10 to Yuma and had some time to kill. When it arrived Johnny Cash stepped off the train and yelled Hey Porter. I think he was on his way home from Folsom Prison. Johnny and I were singing up a storm when they hauled me off to the pokey. I didn't get any more shots that day. Camera or otherwise. Does anyone know what Public Intox means? I didn't even get to tell Johnny goodbye.

Edit: Hey Porter was Johnny's very first recording.

I've actually used one of those huge fire extinguishers on big wheels, seen in the far right of the image. It takes some experimenting on how to roll them without the tank flipping over. There's another one in the corner shadow of the building, right next to what appears to be a central air unit. An interesting chronologic clash of technology right there. The old porter's wagon looks right at home on that brick walkway.

Dolly Parton used to yell "Hey Porter" a lot too. LOL. This is a great looking shot, Tick. Lots of nice things to look at, but I especially like that clock tower. The sky is awesome. You composed this perfectly, too. Nice work all the way around!

A great looking scene and capture of the rail station, Tick. Nice composition and a good perspective in the scene. Beautiful colours and lighting in the photo. There is some noise present in the sky. If you use photoshop add a surface blur to the photo, that should eliminate most of it. A great song link and great job with the photo.

Lots for the eye to take in here!...love the point of view

I noticed the 'composition' whether intended or not

The stones, the truck, the track and the building all lead the eye to the clock tower

Nice one mate

Beautiful shot Tick and a funny narrative. Was that the first time you were in the pokey? Or did you meet any old friends there?

I like the colours, clarity and the sky.

Tick - An excellent perspective shot with great colors and lighting. Minus the stop signs and heat exchanger and it would be a complete step back in time. Very well done, my friend. Thad

Excellent capture and what a sky, wow. Looks like the clock should be sitting on top of a building not just brick legs. Such beautiful colours and composition.

Hope you didn't have to spend the night in the pokey, lol

Well, TicK...

The sky is just about as perfect as perfect can be, but the rest of the shot ain't no slouch either. If I had to bitch about anything in this posting, I probably would say that I would have cloned out the two stop signs. But those signs drop this shot from a 9.489634 to a 9.489633. I'd rank this one up there with your Amish buggy shot. The colors are terrific, the textures in the brick are to die for and that old time steepled church is icing on the cake.

Dear agent,
1. Treat the matter with utmost confidentiality and let me know what 'Public Intox' means.
2. That Johnny Cash whom I remember had the hair like in this Columbo movie, remember?
Lovely and again almost half as good as "Missed the Train" of yours. Honestly.
