I bought an old frame at a sale years ago and when I changed the photo, this was behind it. It is very old as is evidenced by the wear and tear. I tried to leave it a much like the original as possible. I would give credit if I knew where credit was due.

I agree what a great find this was, I wonder when it was taken, and what became of these young boys? Hopefully they were or are as happy in life today, if they are still around. I think this is magnificent.

Hidden in plain sight. So, are you going to re-frame and keep it? Maybe donate it to a local gallery?

What a lucky find, hope you frame and keep it, but I suppose there is someone who would appreciate having it back. It certainly shows boys having a good time.

I find this appealing, a good find. It seems at odds that they all look happy, when, in those times they would have a hard life.

Well the copyright I see in the far right bottom corner, next to you logo, Tick, reads early 1900's, the last number obliterated by time. On the far left are the words "Early Blackberries", which was a slang word in those days for African Americans. I'd never heard it used before, rather the really offensive ones instead, so I don't know how the black community felt about it at the time or now. Like the Holocaust museum in Israel keeps people from forgetting the horror that happened to 6 million jews in WWII, sometimes we need to remember how our own people were treated in our country to refrain from returning to those days. As for the photo, Tick, that's quite a special find. I know someone mentioned donating it but, having worked in one of those places, I would advise against it. Keep it, frame it, and hang it for all to see. Prejudice and segregation were still rampant and often deadly in the early 20th century, and I imagine it would have hung a cloud over the lives of these boys, but it's truly inspiring to see them having such fun in their companionship and friendship, and in the novelty of having their photograph taken in such an unusual way for the time period. Kudos to the photographer and to you, Tick, for bringing it forward. F&S.
