Went for a walk last fall and came upon this tree framing the daytime moon. Thought I would present it here for the Framing contest. Hope you enjoy:):)

Ohhhh Bruce, this is totally 'wicked good'...the moon being surrounded with all those wonderful gnarly branches! What a gorgeous tree that must be. Did you take a photo of the whole tree too? Would love to see it. This will do great in the contest. Very unique. Also nice to see the fractalexpert post a 'regular' photo! Nice stuff !!! By the way, how did you get a border of a calendar? Is your photo on a calendar? Verena

A great capture of this wonderful and interesting looking tree. Love the textures in the bark and the twists and curves in the tangled mass of limbs. And nice framing shot of the moon. Good luck in the contest Bruce.

Wow...the first thing that grabs me is the lighting and warming golden tones to the branches, and at the same time, the gnarls and textures to the tree!! Then you top it off with a natural framing of the moon! This just blows me away!! Your framing technique also provides depth and the feeling that one is looking through an open window at this beautiful sight! And, where ever did you get the calendar rings?! Outstanding work, Bruce! I'd wish you luck in the contest, but, I'm sure you don't need it! :)
