There is a restaurant in our city that was built in a former J.C. Penny store, and a number of original features, like the hardwood floors and pressed tin ceiling were refurbished and kept in place. In homage to the old Penny store, the enclosed entry has a floor paved with pennies. It is one of the coolest features of the restaurant. What I see here is a field of pennies, those in the upper left at an angle sufficient to identifying the shapes as pennies, while as the eye travels to the lower right the pennies are more on edge. Either they are applied to a curved surface or the angle of the lens is distorting the image a little. Regardless, this is a very cool and unique image, and good luck in the contest, Bruce.

Intriguing pattern, terrific idea and the angle of the capture gives us a good idea of the overall scene. Must have been fun (maybe?) creating this, great entry!
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
