I came across this dresser at Apple Hill a few weeks ago and was impressed by the beautiful design, scrolling and colors. The store receptionist says it came from Russia and was about 200 years old:):) WOW!! I could not get a shot from directly in front because it was tucked in around the corner entry wall so there you have it:):)Enjoy if you can:)

Bruce, this may not be the most optimal photograph, due to the fact that you weren't free to handle the optimal photo conditions, but in fact that's not the point. It's essential however that you can show us this unique and beautifully executed Russian Dresser, Buddy.

Nice that Santa Claus is also present, 😁

This isn*t just an old cabinet at a thrift shop. I spent many years dealing with objects like this dresser, a true find. Looking close at the different faces of it I can see that any restoration of it would need to be painstaking, since there are obviously various layers of stain, paint and glaze, in order to recapture the floral patterns I see all over it. A closer study of the top, however, would be recommended. I just clipped a copy to send to an old buddy of mine, a research historian, to get his take on it.
