This was taken on Dec 3, 2021. In this part of the USA/California, the Fall "look" extends well into Dec/Jan because of the Mediterranean like climate here. I saw this after leaving the dentist office and thought it was beautiful. Enjoy if you can and thanks for your comments:)

It is a gorgeous tree, and I love its shape, but, frankly, I*m surprised the power company (companies?) haven*t destroyed its looks by cutting away every branch within spitting distance of the wires. For years our local PC did that to my nice ash out back (until it was no longer nice), stunting all the lower branches and threatening the middle ones. Finally, when the really old and crappy power pole in the cornier of my neighbor*s yard (the pole and I were the same age; tells you something about me, eh? ;o) was replaced, and put in my yard, I paid for the out-of-code line to my house to go underground to my garage, instead of thru my ash (that*s A-S-H). The tree is now safe.

I lived in California for several years, and the last time I saw this many wires colliding in the air was in photos from places like India and Viet Nam. . . Holy Mackinoly!

Bruce, like 'Nik' I wonder why this tree wasn't eliminated when the power lines were laid. Perhaps this is based on an objection from some environmental movement. It is and remains a strange sight: natural beauty interspersed with the 'decorations' of progression.
Remarkable yet very beautiful photograph, Buddy!
