These two peaks are part of the Wasatch Mountains in Utah where I grew up and are just north of North Ogden. This view is from my sisters house in Farr West, Utah, just west of the peaks/range. Willard Peak is the higher of the two on the left/center above the front right corner of the left house by 48' with Ben Lomond on the right. I climbed to the top of Ben Lomond when I was 19 with two of my brothers and we basically went up the south face....the HARD way with sack lunches that spilled out half way up so we only had half the amount we had when we started:):):) We only spent about 30 minutes on top and quickly descended down and we were so hungry when we got to our vehicles we went straight to the hamburger joint to eat!! It took us 5 hours to climb up and 2 coming down:):) A bit of HDR to enhance the image:) Thanks for your comments.

Utah has so much beauty. Great capture, Bruce. Your interesting narrative is a bit of Twin Peaks meets American Graffiti.

Bruce, I enjoy both this wonderful capture and your narrative. If as a 19 year old you already needed 5 hours for the ascent, I wonder how much you would need now.
In any case, it was a strenuous but beautiful activity, Buddy!

It looks very chilly and of course beautiful. 7 hours on that mountainside is to be admired !

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Years ago my wife was in Salt Lake for a work conference and, for an extra-conference activity, a number of attendees rode gondolas up into the Wasatch Range. All my wife had to record the scenery was a crappy old flip phone, so its so nice to actually get to see a high-quality view of what she might have seen, so thanks for that, Bruce. I am a big fan of mountains (none at all to be found in my native North Dakota) and this one of yours stirs my blood.
