A 2' section of a famous cork tree at Lake Chabot near San Leandro, Ca. I love the rough texture. This was planted by early settlers in the area. A small article about this is here: https://www.hmdb.org/m.asp?m=71650
In certain spots, Bruce, it looks somewhat like the fractals you create so well, dude. Flowing lines mixed in with sharp-edged shapes. Nature, however, is always the ultimate creator, the ultimate artist.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
Bruce, I think I can't improve 'Nik' his comment. Instead of using superfluous words, I'll use my time to enjoy the photograph of this by Mother Nature created abstract natural artwork. Thanks for the photograph and the link to the very interesting story 'Roots From Another Land (Lake Chabot Historical Walk)', Buddy.
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!
