I saw this one in your gallery while perusing it last week, Chris, and was looking forward to commenting on it in turn. It encompasses water reflections, bold colors, a dynamic cloudscape, and panoramic treatment, to name just a few (and all long-time favorites of mine), but also an elegant aesthetic composition that places the cluster of three homes to one side with intervening trees in the middle. This is the sort of view I cherish each time I drop my kayak in a stream. Some may not always appreciate what they would consider the intrusion of humanity in nature, but the fact that all three are of different styles (as well as the fourth on the left), with the white one in the middle and the outer two bracketing it in more muted tones, suggests that, first, we can harmonize with nature when we try, and second, it gives me something to be envious about.
