We were on vacation this past week and spent some time in the Badlands of South Dakota. Because of the large amount rain they have received this summer, the plants , flowers, and grass exploded in color.
This must have been in the eastern half where there's more color striation in the buttes. The relatively rare windfall of rain lets the colors of the ores show more as well. I've always enjoyed how the paved roads through the badlands of both North and South Dakota wind like a snake in some places. You've caught that very nicely here and even managed a pretty decent DOF between foreground and background, despite the long stretch from wild sunflower and the geo-formations. Good work, Rich.
