I had submitted a photo quite some time ago of the power plant here in town but in light of recent events, I thought I would post another view of it in remembrance of five workers who were killed at the plant last week, and also for one of our most beloved manatees who died one day after his 69th birthday in a freak accident. You can make out manatees in the water in this entry. It the best place to view them when they gather in the winter. I am sorry for such a dower post, yet such is life with its ups and downs The manatee in question was at an aquarium south of where this photo was taken.

Alex, Sorry to hear about the loss of lives and that includes the manatee. The exposure for this shot is very good, and I like the angle/perspective of this capture. tigs=^..^=

Very good capture of the intricacies of the plant, and if those dimples in the water are the manatees' backs, sticking up like dorsal fins, then holy cow, there's one helluva lot of them. No worries about the nature of the post, Alex, at least you take the time to make sure people know they existed. In memorials, however, the names of those lost are usually listed. Just a thought.

Accidents happen so often but every time it is a shock not only for the relatives and friends but for all. Good post in memory of the departed souls.

Alex, I agree with Raj about this tragedy. Accidents happens everywhere in the world. Even when they got paid attention, on TV or newspaper, mostly we don't realize that such an accident has a great impact for relatives and friends. Your good post makes us aware of that, my friend.
