I thought getting out of bed was a bit more difficult this morning, not sure because I'm a year older today and old age is creeping in. :) This photo was taken about 1974 which looks like my 6th birthday.

Looks to me like you got a big chunk out of that cake before the candles were even blown out! Hungry kid!!! Ah, yes, I do remember the coloring in those early 70's Instamatic camera prints. I was getting out of the Navy about then and many of my service photos look like this, too. Well, Happy Birthday, Alex, keep on keepin' on.
