This is the spot where I took the photo I submitted a couple weeks ago stating it was the first entry to Caedes. Gators like this spot for some reason, and this guy could be the offspring of the alligator I photographed back in 2012? This entry was photographed today June 7th 2018. Here is a very relaxing video I made today of at least a dozen different bird species singing along with a pig frog chiming in.

Such a beautiful, colorful photo, but I doubt I would be standing that close to take one with you.

This young gator do me think of a child that got his/her first swimming lesson, Alex.
Perhaps it's a lazy one taking a sun bath.
Anyhow a perfect one, seen and captured very well.

The difference between the aging adult and the young stud becomes immediate when one looks at the link. It's rather funny to me that it's very similar to what often happens to humans... we get wider, slow down, and require a lot more salad in our diet (see face of older gator, or is it simply that the older gent knows how to to use natural camouflage better than junior does? ;o). The youngster certainly does look comfortable on that... is that a dead tree? Floating? Your contrasts in textures, from the placid water, to duckweed, to dead tree, to gator hide, runs from one extreme to another. All that, combined with gorgeous colors and spot-on focus, makes this one viewable for a long sit-down, not just a quick glance. Well done, Alex.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
