I recently spent some time in Caedes jail for posting an image of a cat treat bag that our cat had destroyed. So, if you can imagine the image this narrative invokes all the better "As my girlfriend is away for awhile, I'm tending to our cat. Granted, I have lived with him for 6 years and have a good idea what is involved. Yet, as anyone who has cats knows "always expect the unexpected" last week before heading off to work, I filled his water dish, and gave him his wet food to hold him over till I got home. Yes, he also had ample supply of dry food as well. I had placed a bag of cat treats on the bathroom vanity where I thought he wouldn't get to them. Well, when I returned home, this is what I found! He loves to chew on plastic." On to the current entry. This was taken a couple years ago next to our patio. Our local alligator has been around much so the ducks have rebounded.

A soft glow gives this a family portrait feel.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Glad to see you are out of jail. Looks like a Muscovy with her brood. They are so cute when they are young.

If your girlfriend was the person who cared for the cat and she is now away, the cat will be in a bad mood and when she gets back the cat may even ignore her because she went away. I have seen this happen to a friend of mine.

Nice shot of the newborns with fat mama.

Alex, I see by his comment above that our friend Raj has a good knowledge of the behavior of cats, so be wise and don't ignore his advice, 😜 !
Thanks for this very cute photograph of Mē (Mother Muscovy) with her tiny and adorable kids.

"...spent some time in Caedes jail for posting an image of a cat treat bag that our cat had destroyed" Whaaaaaat? I don't understand why you'd be sent to Caedes jail for that. Censorship? Personal taste? Oy vey! As for this photo, those chicks are this duck's offspring? How does something that cute turn into what looks like a slightly squashed and tailless turkey? I'm confused... then again, at my age I'm supposed to be confused... I'm rambling... never mind.
