I was in the right place at the right time to capture this nicely shaped pitching wave crashing against the end of the pier…For a good hour I sat and watched the pier taking a battering from the Atlantic waves and the thundering sound of the impact was something else to experience….Please enjoy.

Oh now this is an excellent action shot. I also like that neat old pier, sure would not want to be on it this day.

Wow, now all they need to do is bottle that, and sell it as aftershave. Refreshing! Great drama in the shot, Mick, and the low ripples in the water balance out very nicely. Right place, right time indeed! *thumbs up!*

Mick - A fantastic capture. Imagine that a short walk out onto the pier would have gotten you a very nice close up - and perhaps a bit more! lol Excellent detail and color to leave only the imagination of how loud the crashing wave must have sounded. Thad

OMG my mouth is still open from seeing the fantastic wonderful awesome magnificent unbelievable photo!!! And I think this photo has gotten more comment than any photo I've seen in caedes in years!! I would not have been able to leave this spot for a day or more! And would have shot all 400 of my photos on my Canon!! This is absolutely beautiful!!! The action, the feeling, the breating in and out..hehe...I was in a motel years ago where the waves, 25 feet high crashed against the rocks below me and I will never forget how the lamps actually shook!! .wowzer!!
